Cuando hablamos de amistad, nos referimos a esas personas que se van conociendo en el transcurrir de nuestras vidas. A medida que vamos creciendo, va llegando la madurez, y con ella las personas que nos encontramos en el camino. Estas nos brindan un cariño diferente; no es amor como tal, no es amistad, no es camaradería, son todos esos sentimientos juntos, y mucho más.

Estando en la escuela, pensaba que quien me llevaba caramelitos, o me regalaba algún detalle, era mi amigo, y aunque no lo fuera, siempre estaba en un lugar especial o digamos que de más confianza que con el resto de ellos. Aunque no era un amigo, me trataba diferente a los demás. A eso lo llamo, el nacimiento de algo bonito, aun sin saber de qué se trataba. Luego, al ir avanzando en edad, comencé nuevamente a revisar ese tipo de sentimiento.

A mis doce años de edad, fui un poco más selectiva, claro, ya estaba en capacidad de reconocer una amistad. Lo que nunca imaginé fue, que esa sería la amiga que perduraría en tiempo y espacio a mi lado. Nuestra amistad se construyó al compartir momentos bonitos en el liceo, pues como era un colegio de monjas, nos llevaban a retiros espirituales, convivencias, etc. En fin, en esa época pudimos vivir la etapa más hermosa, diría yo, aunque toda época tiene su encanto.

La adolescencia nos permitió compartir sucesos emotivos, alegres, fiestas, estudios, paseos, etc. Con la fortuna de que nos correspondió disfrutar de la moda hippie, lo psicodélico, el rock, las minitecas, los bailes con luces negras, etc. Así como también, compartimos los cumpleaños en nuestras familias, los duelos, etc. Nuestros padres y hermanos, se compenetraron mucho con mis compañeras de clase. Así se gestó una amistad irrompible hasta hoy.

When we talk about friendship, we are referring to those people we get to know in the course of our lives. As we grow up, maturity arrives, and with it the people we meet along the way. They give us a different kind of affection; it is not love as such, it is not friendship, it is not camaraderie, it is all those feelings together, and much more.

Al principio nos escribíamos cartas, luego correos y, gracias a la telefonía móvil, nos comunicábamos por Watshap. Ha sido una amistad que ni siquiera la distancia ha podido separar. Con el paso del tiempo, se ha fortalecido mucho más. No pasa un día sin que nos saludemos. No, no es el videito o el mensaje diario, es un saludo como si fuéramos la hermana que está lejos y que nuestro lazo de amor no nos separa. En esos mensajes se incluyen estados de salud, y todo lo que queremos decirnos. En los cumpleaños nos llamamos y hablamos durante casi una hora, así como cuando hay algún acontecimiento familiar.
Es mi gran amiga y hermana. La quiero mucho y es un sentimiento recíproco. La siento muy cerca. Sin embargo, ¡cómo me gustaría verla y darle un fuerte abrazo! Me gustaría celebrar la Navidad con ella, porque es una época de alegría y amor. Aprovecharía para regalarle una colección musical con todos aquellos grupos de rock y solistas que fueron testigos de lo que vivimos. Así, cuando nos separemos de nuevo, no solo se acordará de mí, sino que podrá revivir los momentos que compartimos juntos, aquellos en los que nos sentíamos libres y llenos de juventud.
