¡Feliz sábado! Hoy por fin llegó el día de la caminata 5k Por ellas corremos esa que ya les había comentado, fue una gran día lleno de actividad física, un evento muy lindo con muchas mujeres vestidas de rosa para conmemorar a esas personas que se encuentran luchando contra el cáncer de mama, fue una actividad maravillosa en la cual tuve la oportunidad de participar y hoy les vengo a contar toda mi experiencia.
¡Happy Saturday! Today finally came the day of the 5k walk We run for them the one I had already told you about, it was a great day full of physical activity, a very nice event with many women dressed in pink to commemorate those people who They are fighting against breast cancer, it was a wonderful activity in which I had the opportunity to participate and today I am here to tell you all about my experience.
Todo comenzó desde muy tempranas horas de la mañana, así que hoy tuve que madrugar, mi pareja y yo salimos de casa un poco después de las 6 am y llegamos al lugar en menos de 5 minutos, cuando llegamos ya habían muchísimas mujeres activas, todas vestidas de rosa, se podía ver desde lejos esa enorme ola rosa que invadía el centro comercial, luego de estacionarnos nos acercamos al evento y apenas llegué unas muchachas de la tienda deportiva del centro comercial estaban repartiendo unas lindas bandanas rosadas y me obsequiaron, pensé en colocármela pero ya me había peinado y no me quedaría bien. Había una tarima con animación y música en vivo y antes de comenzar la carrera/caminata se hizo un pequeño calentamiento de unos 5 minutos para entrar en calor dirigido por unos entrenadores.
Everything started very early in the morning, so today I had to get up early, my partner and I left the house a little after 6 am and arrived at the place in less than 5 minutes, when we arrived there were already many active women, all dressed in pink, you could see from afar that huge pink wave that invaded the mall, after parking we approached the event and as soon as I arrived some girls from the sports store in the mall were handing out some pretty pink bandanas and they gave me a gift, I thought of put it on but I had already combed my hair and it wouldn't look good on me. There was a platform with entertainment and live music and before starting the run/walk there was a small warm-up of about 5 minutes to warm up led by some trainers.
Aproveché de estirarme un poco y también de tomarme algunas fotos antes de comenzar ya que sabía que luego llegaría sudada y despeinada, ya todas las mujeres se estaban preparando y yo también lo hacía colocándome mi número, en ese momento aún estaba fresco, aun no eran ni las 7 am y el sol todavía no salía por completo, pero pintaba que sería un muy bonito día, todo en el lugar estaba decorado de rosa e hicieron un hermoso lazo gigante en globos para tomarse fotos, me gustó mucho ese espacio y allí me retraté también.
I took advantage of stretching a little and also taking some photos before starting since I knew that later I would arrive sweaty and disheveled, all the women were already getting ready and I was also putting on my number, at that moment I was still fresh, they were not yet It wasn't even 7 am and the sun hadn't fully risen yet, but it looked like it would be a very nice day, everything in the place was decorated in pink and they made a beautiful giant bow out of balloons to take photos, I really liked that space and I I also photographed.
Ya casi era momento de comenzar y las mujeres se iban acercando a la salida para prepararse para salir, pude ver con la gran mayoría se encontraban reunidas entre ellas, habían varios grupos de amigas que iban a correr y caminar juntas, me sentí un poco rara por no estar en ningún grupo ni conocer a nadie, era un evento de mujeres y yo no tenía a ninguna amiga conmigo pero no estaba sola, mi pareja me acompañó durante todo el evento y hasta caminó conmigo, él fue mi compañero de caminata.
It was almost time to start and the women were approaching the exit to prepare to go out, I could see that the vast majority were gathered together, there were several groups of friends who were going to run and walk together, I felt a little strange for not being in any group or knowing anyone, it was a women's event and I did not have any friends with me but I was not alone, my partner accompanied me throughout the event and even walked with me, he was my walking partner.
Ya todo estaba listo para comenzar, las mujeres que correrían se ubicaron en la parte principal de la salida ya que saldrían primero para no mezclarse con las que caminarían ya que esto tomaría más tiempo, una vez las corredoras salieron tuvimos que esperar 5 minutos para comenzar la caminata.
Everything was ready to start, the women who would run were located in the main part of the start since they would leave first so as not to mix with those who would walk since this would take more time, once the runners left we had to wait 5 minutes to start the walk.
Mientras transcurrían los 5 minutos para iniciar con la caminata yo iba configurando mi reloj para contar el recorrido, así como mi celular, también utilicé una función que no había usado antes que es la medición del ritmo cardiaco para compararlo con el resultado después de llegar a la meta.
While the 5 minutes to start the walk passed, I was configuring my watch to count the route, as well as my cell phone, I also used a function that I had not used before, which is the measurement of the heart rate to compare it with the result after reaching the goal.
Cuando por fin comenzó la caminata salimos todos, yo muy emocionada por supuesto, mi pareja y yo estábamos en los últimos puestos, varias personas iban junto a nosotros con mucha calma, no teníamos apuros, íbamos a nuestro paso y nuestro ritmo y fue nuestra manera de disfrutar la caminata, por ser de los últimos llevábamos cerca de nosotros una ambulancia, la cual iba al pendiente de todos los participantes en caso de necesitar ayuda, primeros auxilios o algo así, también contamos con la presencia de la policía de la zona que nos ofrecían seguridad durante todo el recorrido, así que fue un evento bastante seguro y protegido.
When the walk finally started, we all went out, I was very excited of course, my partner and I were in the last positions, several people went with us very calmly, we were in no hurry, we went at our pace and at our own pace and it was our way to enjoy the walk, being one of the last, we had an ambulance near us, which was on the lookout for all the participants in case they needed help, first aid or something like that, we also had the presence of the police in the area that They offered us security throughout the tour, so it was a pretty safe and secure event.
En cada kilómetro había un anuncio para indicarnos la distancia, llegado el primer kilómetro parecía fácil, llegando al segundo ya venían de regreso las 3 primeras personas de la carrera e iban rumbo hacia la meta, me pareció impresionante lo rápido que lo hicieron mientras que yo aún no llegaba ni a la mitad del recorrido, para el kilómetro 3 aproximadamente comencé a sentir una molestia en los pies, creí que mis zapatos eran cómodos pero resultaron horribles para esa caminata, sentía como se me formaban burbujas en las plantas de ambos pies, allí supe que no resistiría mucho más, logramos llegar al retorno y ya no había agua, por llegar de últimos no nos quedó pero igual seguimos, ya desde el kilómetro 4 lo empecé a ver muy difícil porque ya no soportaba el dolor en los pies, pero como sea tenía que llegar, ese último kilómetro se me hizo eterno.
At each kilometer there was an announcement to tell us the distance, after the first kilometer it seemed easy, reaching the second the first 3 people in the race were already coming back and heading towards the finish line, I found it impressive how fast they did it while I I still hadn't even reached the halfway point, by approximately kilometer 3 I began to feel discomfort in my feet, I thought my shoes were comfortable but they were horrible for that walk, I felt bubbles forming on the soles of both feet, There I knew that I would not last much longer, we managed to reach the return and there was no more water, because we arrived last there was no water left but we continued anyway, from kilometer 4 I began to see it very difficult because I could no longer bear the pain in my feet, but I had to get there anyway, that last kilometer seemed eternal.
Cuando por fin llegamos a la meta ya estaban todos hidratándose, yo me sentía destruida, logré resistir los 5k de la caminata, no me sentía cansada por haberlo hecho, lo que no resistí fue el dolor en los pies por lo horrible de mis zapatos, de no ser por eso habría llegado un poco antes y no me habría dolido tanto, pero ya no podía hacer nada por eso, lo importante es que finalmente llegué a la meta y apenas la crucé me dieron una linda medalla por mi participación.
When we finally reached the finish line everyone was already hydrating, I felt destroyed, I managed to resist the 5k of the walk, I didn't feel tired for having done it, what I couldn't resist was the pain in my feet because of the horribleness of my shoes, If it hadn't been for that, I would have arrived a little earlier and it wouldn't have hurt so much, but I couldn't do anything about it, the important thing is that I finally reached the finish line and as soon as I crossed it, they gave me a nice medal for my participation.
Luego de eso fui por una botella de agua para hidratarme y además me obsequiaron 2 frutas, luego de beber agua recordé que había colocado la aplicación en el celular y la detuve, en total fue una hora para caminar esos 5k, algo lento lo sé pero lo importante es que llegué y que lo disfruté.
After that I went for a bottle of water to hydrate myself and they also gave me 2 fruits, after drinking water I remembered that I had placed the application on my cell phone and stopped it, in total it was an hour to walk those 5k, something slow I know but The important thing is that I arrived and that I enjoyed it.
Una vez que ya todas las participantes habían cruzado la meta y se hidrataran dieron continuación al evento, habría música en vivo, una jornada médica gratuita para todas las personas aunque no hayan participado que incluía consultas médicas de diferentes áreas, vacunación, exámenes de laboratorio, además, harían la premiación de las 3 primeras personas de la carrera en llegar a la meta, así como también harían el sorteo de varios premios a participantes al azar de acuerdo a su número con premios cortesía de los patrocinantes del evento, en general fue algo increíble, me encantó poder participar y ser parte de algo tan lindo para mostrar apoyo a las personas con cáncer, pese a los inconvenientes con mis zapatos la pasé muy bien, ahora me han quedado unas lindas fotos así como recuerdos de una gran experiencia, espero con ansias la siguiente edición para participar.
Once all the participants had crossed the finish line and hydrated, the event continued, there would be live music, a free medical day for all people even if they did not participate, which included medical consultations from different areas, vaccinations, laboratory tests, In addition, they would award the first 3 people in the race to reach the finish line, as well as draw various prizes for random participants according to their number with prizes courtesy of the sponsors of the event, in general it was something incredible, I loved being able to participate and be part of something so nice to show support for people with cancer, despite the inconveniences with my shoes I had a great time, now I have some nice photos as well as memories of a great experience, I hope looking forward to the next edition to participate.
