Whenever we talk about Christmas, the best memories of my childhood come to mind, and at home, despite having to struggle with things that were not proper for a child, it is also true that in the month of December everything was different.

At Christmas there was peace and joy at home, my father who had a bad temper, was at this time, kind and happy, and mom always so sacrificed looking for the way that we never lacked the Baby Jesus toys and the premieres to receive the new year, well that is the tradition here in Venezuela.

I remember that on December 24 we were sent to sleep early so that the baby Jesus would bring us the toys, that moment was so longed for by all of us, and what a joy when we woke up the next day we saw the toys near our beds! the joy we felt as children was priceless, many of those toys mom won them in raffles 😊 and many others were bought by the great effort she made working.

Do you have any Christmas memories that seem magical to you even now?

Christmas for me will always have a very special meaning, first because it celebrates the Birth of Jesus the Savior and I am a faithful believer, but also because for me Christmas has always been synonymous with joy, love, peace, forgiveness and gifts hahahaha.

Among so many memories there is one that I keep with nostalgia and emotion, there was a time when there was almost no money and the time was approaching to assemble the Christmas tree, I remember that mom asked my older brother, who at that time would have been about 14 years old, to make a tree with some branches of a dry tree that was near the house.

Well, my brother who was so ingenious, took the biggest and most suitable branch, cut it, cleaned it, gave it the shape he wanted and told mom to buy a special white foam to give it the look of a tree with snow, well mom bought the foam, frost, a few scenery and the cheapest lights to decorate the tree.

When my brother finished the job, everyone at home was happy, because we had our Christmas tree, honestly it was a little strange shape, but for us it symbolized the arrival of a time that we enjoyed a lot and that was the important thing.

Christmas time I will always remember with nostalgia and joy because it will always have a great meaning in my life, to see one's family happy and united is the best, although sadly for many it is only once a year, how nice it would be to live in a constant Christmas.

Saludos cordiales queridas damas de la colmena, espero y se encuentren muy bien! 🌹.

Siempre que se habla de Navidad me vienen a la mente los mejores recuerdos de mi niñez, y es que en casa a pesar de tener que luchar con cosas que no eran propias de una niña, también es cierto que en el mes de Diciembre todo era diferente.

En Navidad había paz y alegría en casa, mi padre que tenía mal carácter, era en esta época, amable y feliz, y mamá siempre tan sacrificada buscando la manera de que nunca nos faltaran los juguetes del Niño Jesús y los estrenos para recibir el año nuevo, bueno esa es la tradición aquí en Venezuela.

Recuerdo que el 24 de Diciembre nos mandaban a dormir temprano para que el niño Jesús nos trajera los juguetes, ese momento era tan anhelado por todos nosotros, y que alegría cuando al despertarnos al otro día veíamos los juguetes cerca de nuestras camas! la alegría que sentíamos siendo niños no tenía precio, mucho de esos juguetes mamá se los ganaba en rifas 😊 y muchos otros eran comprados por el gran esfuerzo que hacía trabajando.

¿Tienes algún recuerdo navideño que te parezca mágico incluso ahora?

Recuerdos tengo muchísimos, unos mejores que otros, la navidad para mí siempre tendrá un significado muy especial, primero por que se celebra el Nacimiento de Jesús el Salvador y soy fiel creyente, pero también porque para mí la navidad ha sido siempre sinónimo de alegría, amor, paz, perdón y regalos jajajaja.

Entre tantos recuerdos hay uno que conservo con nostalgia y emoción, hubo en tiempo en que casi no había dinero y se acercaba el momento de montar el arbolito de navidad, recuerdo que mamá le pidió a mi hermano mayor que en esa época tendría como 14 años, que hiciera un arbolito con unas ramas de un árbol seco que estaba cerca de casa.

Bueno mi hermano que era tan ingenioso, fue tomo la rama más grande y adecuada, la cortó, limpio, le dio la forma que quería y le dijo a mamá que comprara una espuma blanca especial para darle aspecto como de un árbol con nieve, bueno mamá compro la espuma, escarcha, unas cuantas bambalinas y las luces más económicas, para decorar el árbol.

Cuando mi hermano terminó de hacer el trabajo, todos en casa quedamos contentos, pues teníamos nuestro árbol de navidad, sinceramente era un poco extraña la forma, pero para nosotros simbolizaba la llegada de una época que disfrutábamos mucho y eso era lo importante.

Los tiempos de navidad siempre los recordaré con nostalgia y alegría porque siempre tendrá un gran significado en mi vida, ver a la familia de uno feliz y unida es lo mejor, aunque tristemente para muchos solo sea una vez al año, que bueno sería vivir en una navidad constante.
