Hello of hive community, thank you
for this fun relatable prompt.
I once had an embarrassing memory that always makes me to laugh anytime I remember it. Immediately I saw this prompt I just remembered it again.
It was a regular day during the time Nigeria experienced the cashless economy, money was really scarce that time, and if you try to withdraw from the few POS agents that managed to have it, you would pay substantial amount for it. My fellow Nigerians can relate. That day I needed to withdraw some cash from the ATM machine at the bank. I had to use the bank ATM because it's totally free. I joined the queue, most people that goes to the bank knows how the queue always looks like, Most especially during that time. I Joined and was given a number. We waited for so long before it finally got to my turn. With a sigh of relief, I happily reached out to my bag to take my ATM card, I brought it out and shockly realized it was my voters card.
Not my ATM, my voters card 😆!, I stood there staring at it like it would just transform into the card I needed. The people behind me were very impatient, some were laughing, while others were already telling me to shift one side, instead of staring at the card. It was really embarrassing, I must say. I just smiled and left.
I quietly walked away, trying to look dignified as possible, but deep down I wasn't dignified at all.
To this day, every time, I want to use my ATM, I always make sure i check twice, sometimes three times . My voters card taught me that lesson free of charge 😆.
