Million Maga Math

In my humble opinion we're reaching a point where defending Trump's claims of widespread election fraud is just plain silly. I'm sorry, but there's not really a nicer way to say this: if you're still willing to ‎receive with open arms the scams of this professional con-man, I don't know what to say to you...

The fact that so many people still fall for for the blatant lies put forward by the Trump administration is astounding on one hand, and a very interesting study-case on the other. What drives people to the kind of madness that they still fully support the leader that has been lying to their faces for four straight years? You tell me. Trump himself has gone relatively quiet, even mentioned that there could be another administration come January during his latest press-conference about covid-19; of course he didn't take any questions... That should tell you something. His supporters on TV keep mentioning the widespread fraud that supposedly cost him the election, waving impressive looking stacks of paper full of affidavits by random people who believe they heard or saw something that could be an indication, or even proof of election fraud. But affidavits are mere written statements, not proof, and in the meantime all that reach the courts are dismissed, one by one.

One particular claim that has received much attention in the online world, is a video from Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, an Indian-American scientist, engineer, politician and entrepreneur, who one time ran as a Republican candidate in the 2018 U.S. Senate election in Massachusetts, and even had a relationship with Fran Drescher for a couple of years: good on him. The video is titled "MIT PhD Analysis of Michigan Votes Reveals Unfortunate Truth of U.S. Voting Systems", and claims to be yet another red flag that proves election fraud against Trump and in favor of Joe Biden. This is one of many complaints about the Dominion vote-counting-software we can find online, often accompanied by accusations against George Soros, the go-to scapegoat for far right conspiracy theorists. One of my readers pointed out this video and I'm thankful for that, because if there are credible claims of election fraud, they need to be investigated of course.

Unfortunately the video, which is linked above, proved to be another in a by now ridiculously long line of sad attemps at discrediting the outcome of the election. I invite you to watch this piece of misinformation if you're interested. Yesterday we saw the Million Maga March protest in which thousands of Trump fans raged against the "dying of the light". Some of them that were interviewed by CNN and other mainstream news-channels literally said that they believed that the count in states where Trump won was fair and honest, and that the count was fraudulent in states where Biden won; they've adapted 100% the words of their dear leader who prepared their minds for months saying that he wouldn't accept any other outcome than a win. These people will believe anything that helps Trump...

“I want this nightmare to end,” he told the Guardian. “I haven’t slept much since the election because I’m sad that Donald Trump is not our president. He’s gonna be our president though.”

Johnson wasn’t the only one with such strong belief in Trump’s claims, made without evidence, that the election was rigged – and in his refusal to concede to Joe Biden after all major media organisations called the race for the Democrat, by 306-232 in the electoral college.

For days and weeks now I've written about this subject, because every day a new wild theory pops up, and every day I take the time and effort to check if this time maybe there's some truth to it. But there never is. Not even once. All the claims about dead people voting, all the so called whistle blowers, all the baseless claims of Republicans not being allowed at the polling and counting stations, all the cleverly engineered mathematical proof... It all amounts no nothing. I would agree with Trump supporters if their complaints would concentrate on how the mainstream media always choose sides against Trump (not something I'd complain about, but true nonetheless). And that the same mainstream media did nothing but support Biden and silenced anything bad from his political past; the media campaigned for Biden and against Trump, that's a legitimate complaint, and it's the same complaint I have against them because they cost Bernie Sanders the win in the primaries. But the end-result is that both Sanders and Trump lost, and it's time to accept that reality. Well, I've not got much to say today, but I do have this last video, one that debunks the above linked video thoroughly; if you didn't watch that hour long video, be sure to watch the 18 minute video linked below to see just how statistics can easily be used in creative ways in order to make people believe untruths...

Do these scatter plots reveal fraudulent vote-switching in Michigan?
