There is one attacker in front of you. You can see him clearly. Now you can defend and strike for self defense. What if there are multiple attackers? What are you going to do then?

Welcome back to Self Defense Situation - What Do You Do? - Part 61. In this series of posts, we usually talk about different situations and what you can do to defend yourself and get back home safe. The moment you see there are multiple attackers, you will fight differently.

In case there is only one attacker, you can focus on him, watch his movement and make your move to defend yourself. When you fight multiple attackers, it changes. If you just focus on one guy, you will get hit by other attackers.

You can see if there is an attacker in front of you, you can see the right and left side. To see behind, you need to move your head or turn. While you are defending one attacker's strike, another attacker can hit you from behind. That's a challenge you face fighting multiple attackers.

When you fight multiple attackers, you often fight yourself in the middle and that is a vulnerable position. You want to stay away from the central position. Try to keep the attackers in front of you. You can fight and move. You can use one attacker to create a barrier so that other attackers find it difficult to get close to you and attack you.

You might get hit. That is not the end of the world. You are not finished. You can fight back. If you think you will never get hit in a fight, that might not happen while fighting multiple attackers.

Try to find a way to move and get out of there. You do not want to stay there and fight forever. If you can defend yourself by running, just run. Think based on reality and make your move fast.
