Unlimited grilled pork belly this way!
I recently visited a restaurant called Misone, a Korean BBQ spot that offers both à la carte and buffet options. One reason I chose this place is its convenient location right next to our cannabis dispensary. Not only does the restaurant look appealing, but the prices are also quite reasonable. You can choose from three pricing tiers—$250, $290, or $350—depending on how wild you want your meal to be.
We went for the regular package, focusing mainly on pork and not so much on the fancy side dishes. Essentially, the restaurant estimates around 400g of pork per person, which is a generous portion, especially when you consider that I (or regular people in general) usually eat around 100g of meat per meal.
The food was actually good, and not just because we want to support our neighbor, who often lends us chairs for events #lol. The pork comes in a variety of cuts, including fatty and lean options, as well as pork belly. The buffet also includes vegetables and homemade kimchi. These are to die for! They actually made it all in house (I have seen those giantic container) plus featuring more than 10 different types of side dishes which is awesomely healthy and delicious. These small extras are like heaven on a plate and act as great palate cleansers.
The restaurant also offers two types of soup,we tried the kimchi soup and another one, which was decent, but I personally preferred the grilled meat and kimchi variety. The package also includes kimbap, a dish resembling sushi but not quite as flavorful. Still, it pairs well with the veggies and meat.
Misone is a great spot for Korean BBQ, especially given that the owner and many staff members are Korean, adding an authentic touch. I'll definitely keep supporting them, and not just because they're our neighbors :)
