INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of all-purpose flour
3/4 cups of warm water
1/2 Tbsp tea spoon of yeast
2 Tbsp of sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp of corn oil
1/2 tsp of salt
10g double-acting baking powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix sugar, yeast and warm water. Stir and let the yeast expand. About 15 minutes.
In a bowl, add in all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk the ingredients evenly.
Then, mix all until it become a dough and knead for about 5 minutes until its surface is smooth and shiny. Cover the bowl and set the dough aside for at least 30 minutes.
Roll the dough into a thin and flat rectangular dough. Cut it evenly into strips (each about 2.5cm wide).
Drench a wooden or bamboo skewer in water and press it onto the edge of a dough strip. While the side is still wet, place the edge of another dough strip on top and press down into the centre of both dough strips.
Heat oil and deep fried until golden brown.
