It’s the end of week and my fridge is full of leftover ingredients. 😆 Let start the weekend perfectly with this leftover pineapple and potato. It's delicious, colorful and full of flavor.
So Today I would like to share with you an alternative way to cook Hawaiian Chicken and Baked Potato.
Hawaiian chicken is chicken breasts in a sweet tangy Hawaiian inspired sauce. 🍍
This Grilled Hawaiian Chicken is cook in red onion, soy sauce, and pineapple mixture then stew to perfection. It’s tender, moist and so flavorful.
Instead of just having a marinade with soy sauce, garlic, and onion as a base, like mostly another dish. But Hawaiian chicken kicks up a heat with the dried chili, ketchup, chili sauce and pineapple. I love the sweet and tangy pineapple sauce so much. 🍍
I serve this Hawaiian Chicken with Bake Potato and accompany it with some freshly vegetable.
Firstly boiled in the water and this may be the faster method. Then bake in the air flyer which this method will gives the potato a crisp with a soft inside. It’s ready with butter on top and a sprinkle of chives, salt and pepper.
Hawaiian Chicken and Baked Potato is a quick and easy marinade, this comes together with just 30 minutes preparation, so you can really enjoy this recipe any day of the week. Such a great dish for Friday night. 🎇
The following ingredients to make Hawaiian Chicken: 🍍
- 2 Chicken Breast
- 1/4 Salt
- 1/4 Pepper
- 2 Cup Pineapple
- 1 Red Onion
- 2 Tomato
- 5 Dried Chili
- 1 Tablespoon Ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Chili Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic
- 1 Tablespoon Canola Oil
- 1/4 Salt
- 1/4 Pepper
The following ingredients to make Baked Potato: 🥔
- 2 Large Potato
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1/4 Salt
- 1/4 Pepper
- 1/4 Chives
How to Make Baked Potato! 🥔
- Drop the potato into the boiled water for about 10 minutes.
- Take away the skin out from the chicken.
- Sprinkle the salt and pepper into the chicken for both side.
- Add the chicken skin into the medium heat and and drop the chicken into the hot pan over medium heat.
- Seared the chicken for both side.
- Keeping the grease in the pan and drop the oil, garlic, and onion.
- Sauté over medium heat until caramelized.
- Add the tomato, pineapple and drop the soy sauce.
- Add the ketchup.
- Add chili paste, seared chicken and simmer it for about 5 minutes.
- Cook it with low heat.
- Flipped the chicken to another side.
- Add the dried chili into the pan.
- Simmer it for about 5 minutes more.
While simmer the chicken, let continue to prepare the bake potato. 🥔
- Move the potato from the pot.
- Peel the skin off.
- Cover the potato with cooking aluminum foil.
- ฺฺBaked it with Air Flyer for 15 minutes with 180 Degree Celsius.
While Bake the potato, let continue cooking Hawaiian Chicken!
- Move out the chicken and safe the sauce as the side dish.
- Make a cross in the center of each potato.
- Gently open the foil.
- Scoop out the potato to built a space for contain the butter.
- Drop the butter to the potato space. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and chives on top.
Baked Potato ready to serve. 🥔
Garnish with some leftover pineapple on the sauce and chives on top of the potato. This gives some extra taste and points for beautiful plating. 😆
