Greetings of the day dearest foodies of Hive!
Welcome back to my daily iftaar table post!
Today we observed the 17th day of fasting for the month of Ramadan 2021 here in Mauritius!
In just less than 2 weeks now, we will celebrate Eid, which will mark the end of the fasting month!
The last 17 days, I've been posting consistently all my iftaar tables without missing any...despite not getting the rewards that I was expecting!
I've set my targets and will keep on posting till the end of Ramadan month - rewards or not, not an issue!
I am just super happy that all my iftaar tables will be stored on the Hive Blockchain forever!
Yeah, let's come back to the 17th table now...but before discovering it, in case you've missed the previous 16 tables, kindly check them out on the below links!

You must have surely noticed that in the first two weeks, my tables were much more full with foods...well this is normal actually!
Now that we are all used to the fasting, we are not so interested in eating as in the beginning, this is human nature!
The main event!
Today I prepared some Indian foods for some guests and also to have for our iftaar table!
Here they are : Chicken Tikka Masala, Mixed Vegetables curry, Dhal and plain rice!
The Chicken Tikka Masala recipe was posted earlier, you can check it here!
I am such a big fan of Indian food...all the Indian dishes I made today were just so yummy!
And as my wife is not a fan of such spicy foods...she prepared Chicken Bastella for her main course!
ps. I will be posting the chicken bastella recipe some other day!
Snacks!
On the fried snacks side, we are frying less and less nowadays...we've eaten too much in the beginning, that's why we are like fed up with them!
But still we had 3 different varieties ; Chili Beignet, Taro Fritter and Bajias!
We also had this yummy Cheese Naan on the table - given to me by my sister number 4!
She insisted that I had to taste it and give some feedbacks...well well...it was really very good!
Fruits, Drinks & Chocolate!
For drinks we had our usual Moroccan Mint Tea, Mauritian milk tea, Water , Orange sparkling juice and Apple juice for the kids!
Some Grapes, Pears and Plums represented the fruits side of things today!
Chocolate...Chocolate!
It is always nice to end up the iftaar with some nice chocolate and some dates too!
So as you've seen, very less foods than the first tables...but still quite some varieties to enjoy!
The king of the table was the Indian foods...and here's my plate which I enjoyed earlier!
Voilà my friends, this is with what we break our 17th fasting day today!
Hope you've enjoyed the post!
Stay tuned for the next one coming up tomorrow around this same time!
Until then,
Wish you all a lovely day/evening ahead!
Thank you!
