Amazing Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Being a chocolate and strawberry lover, I just love these homemade chocolate covered strawberries.

Strawberries are my all-time favorite fruit to eat, and who doesn’t like chocolate? Combine the two and you have an age-old classic treat enjoyed by millions of people around the world.

They are so incredibly easy to make and there are many options to fit your particular tastes. If I can do it, you can do it. Let’s get started!

Ingredients

  • Strawberries washed and dried
  • Chocolate Milk, dark, semi-sweet, white, chocolate chips, chocolate bars, candy melts, etc.
  • Coconut flakes
  • Nuts
  • Mini-chocolate chips

Instructions

Begin by washing and drying the strawberries. Leave the leaf caps on the top of them.
Melt the chocolate in separate bowls in either the microwave or use the double boiler method. If using the microwave, put the microwave-safe bowl in the microwave and heat it up with bursts of 25 seconds, stirring in between each burst.

Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate and then dip them in nuts, coconut flakes, mini-chocolate chips, etc. Then place them on a parchment paper-lined or silicone-mat lined sheet pan or cookie sheet.

*If you don't want a flat side to the dipped strawberry, poke each strawberry with a toothpick, so it can be stuck in styrofoam.

To make the classic tuxedo strawberry, dip a side of a strawberry in white chocolate. Allow the chocolate to set for 15 minutes then dip aside in an angle into dark chocolate then dip the other side, which makes a triangle on the white chocolate. Place it on the pan and then dip a toothpick into dark chocolate and dot on little buttons.

Allow the chocolate dipped strawberries to set in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes. Enjoy!
