Aesthetic Strawberry Iced Latte & All Desserts Strawberry | Cafe Hopping

Happy Weekend!

Time flies that quickly and it’s already weekend. These past few days somehow I was pretty occupied. Only yesterday, I was able to take some break and was craving something sweet. Among many places in town offering decent desserts, one place comes to mind. COMU (Coral Mountain) a hidden gem cafe that though its service are one-of-a-kind is always less busy than other cafes in town. COMU was a place I frequented in and it was always a nice trip visiting the place. They serve yummy meals as well as coffee that are always unique and up-to-date for a small town cafe.

This February their seasonal menu is strawberry iced latte. I was wondering if Strawberry was going to be good when paired with coffee but COMU knows how to turn coffee into an aesthetic and appetizing beverage. Apparently, this strawberry latte originates from South Korea just as the barista told me. It’s one of the hip and trendy drinks in South Korea Which to be fair, this drink got its aesthetic as well as the taste.

As you can see above, they also added whipped cream and ice cream with strawberry fruit as the garnish. They added some coffee beans for decoration which just adorn this heavenly beverage. This strawberry latte was creamy and I would recommend for anyone who enjoys sweet beverage as well as coffee in one. The combination between both was really delightful. It creates a blend that feels truly an indulgence.

Other than Strawberry Iced Latte, they also serve waffles and pancakes. Since I like waffles more than pancakes, I ordered their strawberry waffle. Not only it was too pleasant to eat, it was just making me want to take more pictures.

When I had my first bite I was so ecstatic. The combination of sweet sour strawberry ice cream and the waffle was perfect to cool me down. It was rather a hot day, so both were not only refreshing but my eyes had quite a feast too.

The place has had quite a renovation too. It is unlike the place I once knew and they changed the seating arrangement which I think now is a lot better. The seating options now accommodate people who work from Cafe or students who study. They even feature different charging ports even the USB one. Although unfortunately, the place was still empty and the patrons were only me and my friend.

Their aesthetic doesn’t really change much. They were still keeping it semi minimalist-industrialist especially their choice of colors. Entering the space feels like entering another realm and being inside makes you feel calmer. When I got there, I also got creative sparkles and I knew that somehow it was going to be a journey of taste and interior design. I mean, having that kind of space is such a dream especially their coffee bar overlooking the whole area.

I honestly almost forgot this place exist. I wondered why I didn’t visit this place sooner than I should. It has comfortable seating now and cool AC to shade me from the sun. The place serves complementary water too that makes the service stands out more than other cafes in town. Although when it comes to pricing, they are quite on the higher end side compared to other cafes in town which could make others rarely check them out. But to me, such place like COMU is perfect. It’s quiet, aesthetically pleasing and very calming. It was like an escape itself from the mundane of our ordinary life.

Comu definitely needs a shout out because overtime, they improved their service and menu. They are keeping themselves on trend and serves coffee aesthetically. After going there, I was definitely wanting to revisit and tried their other menu from the place. Again, it’s not just the innovative menu but also their visually appealing plating and the space that compels me to go there.
