Payes || A traditional dessert food of Bangladesh

-- Don't cook shukto or payes. When cooked shukto or payes, I remember,
One day I was a Bengali.
- Bengali famous Singer Kumar Bisshojit

This is a very popular Bengali song. The singer has expressed regret over the song. Because the traditions of one time are getting lost among us day by day in the name of modernity. There were many things that once existed in Bangladesh which were associated with the heritage of Bengal but now they are getting lost day by day. Payes is one of the traditional food.

Payes is one of the traditional food in Bangladesh. This food was a very popular food for entertaining guests. It was compulsory to have payes with other food on any occasion. Payes was a very compulsive food in any food starting from Bangladeshi wedding ceremony. But with the passage of time the circulation of this food has gradually decreased.

Yet the prevalence of this food in rural areas still survives. This food is still occasionally seen making at any occasion in the village. Sometimes this food is still made in our family as a dessert. This food is a part of the thousand year old Bengali culture. From the past, this food has been carrying the tradition of Bengali food culture.

I am Md. Kawsar Hasan. I am Bangladeshi and proud to introduce myself as a Bangladeshi because I love my country so much. Because this is my motherland. I am engaged in the teaching profession. When I can teach my students something new, I have a different feeling. I also like to learn and do something new every day, I like to mingle with new people and like to learn something new. I always think of myself as a student of nature. Because we have a lot to learn from nature. I just try small to learn. I love to travel. A lot can be learned from nature through travel. Love to learn and write. I have been trying to write since I was a child and that is why I often fall behind in writing. I try to respect people. I think if you respect someone, your self-esteem does not decrease but increases.
