After my husband's booster shot the other, we had to run some errand as well as to quickly catch a movie while the mother-in-law stepped in for couple of hours to to take care of the boys. He felt like eating something special, before the vaccination effect kicked in. We walked around KL East Mall, Kuala Lumpur and we ended up looking satisfied when our food arrived, just look at the photo below.

While browsing the menu placed at the entrance, we straight away agreed to dine here the moment we read page 1. Such assurance of what this place is to customer, and such confidence when they describe their food. Alluring.
Superb Ambience
I was literally blown away by the ambience. The surrounding looks sophisticated yet pleasant. The design makes you feel like you are at Bali. Every part from the entrance to the dining place, to the washing hand area, to the counter, look grand to me. As grand as it looked, you didn't feel belittled (cause we were dressed-down) because the customer service was tiptop, they made you felt welcomed, like part of their family. The waiter even informed me that my upper arms had some black stain and he led me to the basin for me to wash my hands. I shall talk lesser and let the photos do their justice.

Without further ado, let me blog on the food we ordered since this is the main agenda here at this community. Food. Food. Food. 😁. Oh man, I felt like having a reunion dinner here actually. Haha. But Chinese New Year reunion dinner usually calls for Chinese food. The cover of the menu greeted us 'Selamat Makan', means Bon Appetite.
His Food
My husband ordered a rice dish called 'Siap Mepanggang' which is fragrant rice with charbroiled chicken with spicy coconut sauce. The chicken was welldone and the coconut sauce was soooo appetizing. It was also served with 'Lawar Kacang' (bean salad), 'rempeyek' (anchovy cracker), a stir fry vegetable and their chilli paste called 'sambel terasi'.
My Food
I was having this rice meal called 'Nasi Campur', meaning mixed rice. It is a combination of Balinese grilled lemongrass prawns, squids, fish, beef or chicken rendang (I chose beef) and 'Sate lilit' (the skewed meat), served with 'Lawar Kacang (beans salad), 'rempeyek' (anchovy crackers), a stir fry vegetable and two types of their signature chilli paste called 'sambel terasi' and 'sambel matah'. Everything was perfectly cooked. The portion was surprisingly huge that I needed to share with my husband.
Beverage
We wanted to try their special Balinese coffee but it was not available as this branch is still waiting for the arrival of a special syrup. We understood then that they just opened this restaurant. So we ordered Hazelnut coffee with coconut flakes. Taste so so good too.
