New Year’s Eve at my sister-in-law’s house.

Happy New Year! It’s New Year’s Eve in Taiwan and we are preparing a feast at my sister-in-law’s house. We invited some friends to join us.

This is a very delicious dish. It’s so popular, we prepare two. It’s Korean rice cake and vegetables in a kimchi sauce. Really a game changer.

This dish is zucchini, fried with a light seasoning. It’s so delicious alone, it really doesn’t need anything.

This is a really nice one. It’s shrimp with dressing and pineapple. The perfect one bite food.

Kimchi is a welcome dish. Spicy and delicious. It also provides probiotics to aid with digestion.

This is one of my sister-in-law’s specialties. Braised pork knuckles. Very tender and delicious.

Of course, we need some healthy food as well. Delicious steamed broccoli and califlower.

This was a seldom made dish for us. It’s a pickled vegetable soup with chili. We add meat and fish as we go. Very spicy.

Braised chicken feet a family favorite. Below you can see my wife sneaking a bite before dinner.

Finally we have cabbage. Adding to the health tasting.

And what New Years is complete without firecrackers.
