The United States should "reconsider" before giving Malaysia back the cash recouped from an enemy of kleptocracy test into state finance 1MDB, previous leader Mahathir Mohamad said on Friday, as the gathering blamed for join at 1MDB was back in power. Mahathir, 94, suddenly surrendered a month ago before being supplanted by Muhyiddin Yassin, whose alliance incorporates the previous decision party United Malays National Organization in spite of voters dismissing UMNO in the 2018 general political race in the midst of a reaction over the multi-billion dollar embarrassment at 1MDB.
