Salir por la ciudad a recorrer lugares de comida para degustar sabores diferentes, definitivamente, es mi pasión. Así sea en compañía de alguien más o de manera solitaria, no hay nada que pueda evitar que yo tenga al menos un Momento Foodie durante el transcurso de la semana. Así que en este post les comparto una recopilación de aquellos Momentos Foodie que tuve a lo largo de la semana pasada, ¡disfruten!
Going out on the town touring food places to taste different flavors is definitely my passion. Whether in the company of someone else or alone, there is nothing that can prevent me from having at least one Foodie Moment during the course of the week. So in this post I share with you a compilation of those Foodie Moments I had over the past week, enjoy!
El primer Momento Foodie de la semana fue en Beijing Restaurante, en su sede ubicada en la Zona Gourmet del Sambil La Candelaria, Caracas. Particularmente me encanta el sushi de este lugar y, de hecho, me parece una de las mejores opciones para ir a degustar comida asiática. Entre tantas opciones para elegir, en esta oportunidad terminé pidiendo el Delicia Roll que consistía en ensalada dinamita, quedó crema, camarones temporizados con topping de ajonjolí acompañado con salsa mayo wasab y plus. Este roll de sushi me encantó, pues la combinación del queso crema con lo crujiente de los camarones es toda una delicia, eso sí, realmente no quedé ten conforme con las salsas pues sigo prefiriendo la dulce y espesa salsa de anguila. El costo de la bandeja de Delicia Roll fue de $8 sin incluir bebida.
The first Foodie Moment of the week was at Beijing Restaurant, located in the Gourmet Zone of the Sambil La Candelaria, Caracas. I particularly love the sushi at this place and, in fact, it seems to me one of the best options to go to taste Asian food. Among so many options to choose from, this time I ended up ordering the Delicia Roll which consisted of dynamite salad, cream, shrimp with sesame topping accompanied with wasab mayo sauce and plus. I loved this sushi roll, as the combination of the cream cheese with the crunchiness of the shrimp is a delight, but I was not really happy with the sauces, as I still prefer the sweet and thick eel sauce. The cost of the Delicia Roll platter was $8 not including beverage.
El segundo Momento Foodie de la semana fue en Zaituna Café. Esta es una de mis cafeterías favoritas, a pesar de que aún no pruebo sus postres, sin embargo el café me parece uno de los mejores.
The second Foodie Moment of the week was at Zaituna Café. This is one of my favorite coffee shops, even though I have yet to try their desserts, however the coffee seems to me to be one of the best.
Mi opción de café favorita para pedir en este lugar es su delicioso Latte Miel. La verdad es que esta opción y el Latte Vainilla tradicional de Zaituna tienen un sabor muy especial y muy diferente al de otras cafeterías de la ciudad.

Durante esta semana también tuve la oportunidad de probar los postres de un emprendimiento llamado Sésamo Caracas (en Instagram pueden encontrarlos como @sesamo.caracas) que también se especializan en panadería. Pude probar sus brownies y las galletas de chispas de chocolate, en cuanto al brownie simplemente me encantó pues tenía la textura que a mí suele gustarme en un brownie: crujiente por fuera y cremoso en su interior, además de que también tenía una cantidad considerable de gotas de chocolate. Por su parte, las galletas también estaban divinas y resultaron ser sumamente crujientes, de hecho me recordaron a mis galletas favoritas de la marca Puig.
During this week I also had the opportunity to try the desserts of an enterprise called Sésamo Caracas (on Instagram you can find them as @sesamo.caracas) that also specializes in bakery. I was able to try their brownies and chocolate chip cookies, as for the brownie I simply loved it as it had the texture that I usually like in a brownie: crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside, plus it also had a considerable amount of chocolate drops. For their part, the cookies were also divine and turned out to be extremely crunchy, in fact they reminded me of my favorite Puig brand cookies.
Mi último momento foodie fue justamente ayer sábado cuando fuimos a nuestro lugar favorito de cachapas. En esta oportunidad optamos por la cachapa de queso telita acompañada con jamón ahumado y tocineta, ¡la mejor combinación sin lugar a dudas! Tomé una fotografía comparativa entre mi mano la cachapa para que tengan una idea del tamaño que tenían 😅. No me quejo, el sabor es increíble y tanto la calidad como el tamaño están bastante acordes al costo de $6.
My last foodie moment was just yesterday, Saturday, when we went to our favorite place for cachapas. This time we opted for the telita cheese cachapa with smoked ham and bacon, the best combination without a doubt! I took a comparative picture between my hand and the cachapa to give you an idea of the size they were 😅. I'm not complaining, the flavor is amazing and both the quality and size are pretty much in line with the $6 cost.
