Ya estamos en semana santa y el día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes la preparación de esta bebida deliciosa y refrescante para estos días de calor.
Se trata de una "Cocada". Una bebida a base de coco y leche, que te encantará.
Para elaborarla, utilicé estos ingredientes:
1 coco seco, tiene que estar así marrón y procuren que tenga suficiente agua.
50 gr de azúcar
50 gr de leche en polvo completa
2 cucharadas de leche condensada
1 cucharada de vainilla

We are already in holy week and today I want to share with you the preparation of this delicious and refreshing drink for these hot days.
It is a "Coconut milkshake". A coconut and milk based drink that you will love.
To make it, I used these ingredients:
1 dry coconut, it has to be brown like this and make sure it has enough water.
50 gr of sugar
50 gr of powdered milk
2 tablespoons of condensed milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
Lo primero que haremos es utilizar un cuchillo bien afilado, o un punzón, para abrir un orificio en los huecos que tienen comúnmente los cocos en uno de sus lados. Esto lo haremos con la intención de extraer el agua de coco de su interior.
Después que logremos atravesar la dura concha del coco, lo volteamos en un vaso, para que el agua salga. Y luego, partimos el coco con una piedra, o tirándolo al piso, para extraer la pulpa de su interior con el mismo cuchillo, pero hay que tener cuidado de no cortarnos.
The first thing to do is to use a sharp knife, or an awl, to open a hole in the holes that coconuts commonly have on one side. We will do this with the intention of extracting the coconut water from inside.
After we get through the hard shell of the coconut, we turn it upside down in a glass, so that the water comes out. And then, we split the coconut with a stone, or throwing it to the floor, to extract the pulp from the inside with the same knife, but we must be careful not to cut ourselves.
Después de extraer toda la pulpa, la vamos a picar en trozos pequeños para no echar a perder la cuchilla de nuestra licuadora, ya que esta pulpa tiende a ser dura cuando el coco está seco.
Entonces, teniendo todo listo, sólo debemos agregar a la licuadora, el agua de coco que fué extraído al principio, el coco picado en pequeños trozos, la leche, el azúcar, la leche condensada, la vainilla, una taza de agua extra y cubos de hielo.
Y procesamos por 2 minutos, para que todo quede bien licuado.
Finalmente servimos en un vaso y podemos adornar con un poco de coco rallado. Y listo! A disfrutar de nuestra deliciosa bebida refrescante.
After extracting all the pulp, we are going to chop it into small pieces so as not to spoil the blade of our blender, as this pulp tends to be hard when the coconut is dry.
Then, having everything ready, we only need to add to the blender the coconut water that was extracted at the beginning, the coconut chopped in small pieces, the milk, the sugar, the condensed milk, the vanilla, a cup of extra water and ice cubes.
Process for 2 minutes, so that everything is well blended.
Finally, serve in a glass and garnish with a little grated coconut. And that's it! Enjoy our delicious refreshing drink.
