Hello there, Blockchain Foodies!

There's a thing my mom says when she wants to eat empanadas. It's just a way to justify a craving. Last Friday, as we were around town doing some things, she was commenting on the fact that she wanted a fish empanada. Of course, she mentioned one of the expensive places in the city to get it. But I made a counteroffer since she wanted to go at the moment.

So we ended up in Disfruta. This is one of the many businesses in Cumaná that accept HBD as a payment method. I just realized it after looking at the tag. There are always new ones being added to the list.

We went there and got the fish empanadas and some smoothies. We couldn't the ones we wanted, but the alternatives were great. She had a papaya one and I had what we call 3 in 1 (beetroot, carrot and orange). Amazing thing!

Our empanadas were crisp and packed with flavor. In this place, you always get food made at the moment. That helps maintain the crispiness of the thing, but it's usually really hot. And as it is a commandment of eating empanadas, you bite and put some sauce on it.

¡Buen día, Foodies de la Blockchain!

El viernes pasado, escuché un comentario que mi mamá hace cada vez que quiere comer empanadas. Es algo así como "tengo una baja de empandas". Entre las opciones donde había buscado precios durante el resto de la semana, figuraba uno de los más caros en la ciudad. Entonces, le hice una contra oferta para ir a otro lugar.

Terminamos en Disfruta. Este es uno de los tantos lugares en Cumaná que aceptan HBD como método de pago. Me di cuenta cuando encontré la etiqueta en el mostrador. Más y más negocios se siguen sumando.

En el lugar pedimos unas empanadas de cazón y unos batidos. No pudimos pedir los que queríamos en realidad, pero las opciones estaban muy buenas. Mi mamá se tomó uno de lechosa; yo, uno de 3 en 1 (remolacha, zanahoria y naranja).

Nuestas empadanas estaban crujientes y repletas de relleno. En este lugar, las empandas se hacen en el momento que las pides. Eso ayuda a mantener la masa crujiente. Lo malo es que están bien calientes. Y como es un mandamiento de comer empanadas, después de un mordisco, se echa salsa y se repite.
