Audible Recommendation - The Healing Power of Ayahuasca by Marc McLean

Back around April time this year I started to listen to "The Healing Power of Ayahuasca" by Marc McLean. This book looks at 16 different accounts where people had been failed by western medicine and they decided to turn to the mysterious plant medicine Ayahuasca.

Ayahuasca the hallucinogenic plant medicine that has been used for thousands of years in the Amazonian jungle.

Marc McLean talks about how the medicine saved him at the lowest point of his life. Ayahuasca gifted him a level of emotional and psychological healing he'd never have achieved in a lifetime of therapy.

The 16 people share how they have healed a multitude of illnesses and issues through ayahuasca, including PTSD, depression, sexual abuse trauma, eating disorders, crippling fear, chronic health problems and more.

Ayahuasca helps people to discover who they really are.

Ayahuasca is generally not something that pops up in every day conversation and is not something that a lot of people tend to know about. I did not know anything about it until the start of the year but now it seems to come up in a lot of conversations I have and I have even been shown retreats to go to in order to experience the medicine. Ayahuasca is something that is getting more popular as more people are looking towards alternative medicines rather than western medicine.

Even if you know nothing about Ayahuasca I would recommend this book as the stories are so inspiring and it shows you the power the medicine can have and how it can help to improve so many lives.
