Hello everyone! Just wanna share to you my experience in trying out this malaysian food called "Satti".

Last week, we went to Zamboanga City to attend a training for our innovation project. Before going back to Iligan, our driver suggested that we should try this Malaysian food called Satti. He even told us that our trip in Zamboanga city would not be complete without trying the Satti. Intrigued by those words, we decided to have our breakfast in one of the known Satti eateries in Zamboanga, the Jimmy Satti Haus. They're only open for breakfast, serving their foods up until 11am only.

You have to order and choose your viand. There's beef, chicken, and chicken liver which were beeing grilled first. Then as for the rice, they were like chopped "puso" rice (rice wrapped in coconut leaves formed like a diamond). The sauce was added last. As you can see in the picture, the sauce is orange in color and it really smells good. I think there's a lot of spices happening there. The taste was like a bit of a curry added with ketchup, cumin and pepper. In fairness, it's yummy. The sauce is slightly thick and sticky and i think its because they added starch water to it. I'm not really sure tho how they made it, but that's what I think it tasted and looked like. I specially like the grilled beef and I even finished 6 sticks of it. I definitely recommend you to try this food also!

If you could visit zamboanga some other time, u should experience Satti! 😊
