Lentil Burgers

Thought I'd post this as my first article. I like to potter around in the kitchen and came up with this yummy Lentil Burger recipe.

Enjoy with a garden fresh salad, preferably organic produce. So much of our fruits and vegetables are sprayed with chemicals and also GMO'd.

Lentil burgers
Ingredients

400g tin of Organic Lentils
3/4 punnet chopped/blended button mushrooms
1 grated carrot
3/4 cup almond meal
1 tspn crushed garlic (if you love garlic feel free to add a bit more!)
1 tspn cumin powder
1/2-1 tspn coriander powder
1 1/2 tspn chilli flakes
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Himalayan rock salt or a top quality sea salt to taste

Method
mix all ingredients thoroughly and mould into patties
Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm
Cook in coconut oil until brown, or grill them.

Add
If you like fresh coriander take a handful and chop it up and add to the mix.

Believe me - these taste really nice - much better than they look!! Hehe!

Lentils are a legume and are extremely good for you. They are very high in fibre, protein and also contain molybdenum, folate, manganese, copper and phosphorus, iron vitamin B1 & B6, pantothenic acid, zinc and potassium.

Enjoy!
