A Wedding Cake of a True Bristolian

The topper on this wedding cake is truly unique and very typical of the bride's sense of humour.

It was the cake my niece had made for her wedding last summer. There were 4 different flavours including, lemon, chocolate, carrot and victoria sandwich. All of which were yummy.

Rather than having something traditional like a bride and groom on top, my niece went for something expressing her Bristolian roots. "Gert Lush" is a phrase originating in Bristol meaning, really good or especially yummy, or indescribably lovely. You get the idea! 😊

To speak it like a true Bristolian you need to imagine that "Gert" is spelt "Gerrrrrrt". 😁
