Zaru Soba, anyone?

This is my first time eating Zaru Soba (Cold Soba Noodles), and I can tell you, it's delicious! So I've learned that "Soba" is a type of thin Japanese noodle that is made out of buckwheat flour, and "Zaru" is a Japanese word for "strainer". This dish is usually served with soy sauce. As you can see on the picture, the cold noodles are placed over a bamboo strainer which shows how the name of the dish was derived from. I think this is perfect for the upcoming Summer time here in the Philippines and this dish is highly recommended for those wanting to have a taste at a different kind of noodle.
