Food and Health Awareness | Significance of Turmeric to your Health

Hey folks @cryptokraze here with another health based article. Many people believe that TURMERIC IS THE most powerful herb on the earth and can cause disease reversal. The benefits of turmeric are very extensive. Currently, more than 10,000 peer-reviewed articles are published, proving the benefits of turmeric, especially one of its famous curative compounds, curcumin.
This makes turmeric one of the most commonly mentioned medicinal plants in all scientific fields.

Turmeric Benefits

Prevent Blood Clots

Blood clots are formed by a process called platelet aggregation, where the platelets concentrate in one area and eventually condense.

In laboratory and animal studies, the use of curcumin in turmeric has significantly reduced platelet aggregation and may reduce the risk of clot formation.

Reduces Depression Symptoms

Neurotransmitter function produces depression through brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). The combination of fluoxetine and curcumin resulted in a slightly greater improvement and was considered statistically significant.

Fights Inflammation

It can be said that one of the most powerful aspects of curcumin is its ability to control inflammation.
The journal Oncogene published a study evaluating several anti-inflammatory compounds and found that aspirin and ibuprofen are the two most common NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) with the worst effect, while curcumin is the most effective.

Boosts Skin Health

An uncontrolled study involving 814 members even exposed that curcumin cream can cure 97% of skin infection in 3 to 15 days.

Turmeric as Anti-Cancer

Numerous laboratory studies on cancer cells show that curcumin has an anticancer effect. It seems to kill cancer cells and prevent further growth. It has the best effect on cancer cells of the breast, colon, stomach, and skin.

Manage Diabetes

In 2009, the Biochemical and Biophysical Research Bulletin published a laboratory study at Auburn University that explored the potential of curcumin to lower blood glucose levels. The study shows that curcumin in turmeric is 400 times more strong than metformin, a common diabetes drug, inactivating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK).
