Indian mango jam is different from regular mango jam. It is made of half ripe mango and little spicy. In Hindi, it is called chunda(आम का छुंदा). There are different ways to make this recipe, can be made without cooking or by cooking. Here I made it by cooking to make instant.
Ingrediants-
- Unripe/half ripe mango 2 big size which makes about 2 cups of grated mango pulp.
- Jaggery/Sugar 1 cup
- Cardamom, black pepper, clove buds, red chilli powder and salt according to taste.
Procedure-
- In a pan add grated mango and sugar. Heat at low flame and stir continuously.
- In half an hour its consistency will be thick. Turn off the flame and add all spices powder.
- Cool down at room temperature and fill into a clean and dry glass jar.
- It can be consumed up to 10 days without refrigeration.
Serve it with any bread of your choice
