From where I'm staying right now, SIOMAI is rampant and basically all over the place. I'm currently at Tisa, Cebu City which celebrates Siomai Festival every September and is also know as the "Siomai Capital of Cebu".
To know more about the history, you can visit this link ⬇️
SIOMAI FESTIVAL

The people from Tisa, Cebu not only celebrates this particular dish but also celebrates their patron saint, Saint Pedro Calungsod. Along with that, they also have street dances, contests, and endless Siomai sold across the street. It's really a fun and satisfying experience, with good food and good company. πŸ’ƒπŸ£πŸ•Ί

Siomai can be paired with anything, aside from the common steamed rice that you order from the dimsum, Cebuanos like to pair it with PUSO or the hanging rice, sometimes it's also great with the famous "Pancit Canton", the instant version.
My favorite Siomai would be the one with boiled Quail egg or just the regular boiled egg on top of it, my second best would be the Japanese Siomai, which is wrapped with seaweed. Two thumbs up for the person/s who invented these. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ³πŸ‘πŸ»

So when you get the chance to visit Cebu, come not only for the Lechon but also the Siomai! You won't regret it. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

SEE YOU ON THE NEXT ONE
