Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, or “The Mountain” from HBO’s Game Of Thrones, deadlifted 1,041 pounds at the Arnold Strongman Classic. Winning the event and 72,000 dollars AND beating the record for deadlift. This guy is a real life Superman. I feel like my aorta will pop if I try much over 300. Hats off to this Nordic giant.
