As you might know already I am certified with # FMS # which stands for Functional movement screen

My intend with this post is to bring awareness to people who want to get in shape and don't really know where to start, also for people that might have developed dysfunction throughout their life and still decide to go into strenuous activity.

I have been hanging out in gyms and fitness center, and crossfit places... I have observed that in the United States, people are more aware about the benefit of practicing an activity than 50 years ago, but why do people get hurt a lot more than 50 years ago? The amount of injury happening in the places that promote a healthy life and strong and tough type of facility is off the roof!

I have encountered all types of injury within the full spectrum of demographic, from young athletes to elderly trying to maintain or better the level or health they are in.

I came to the conclusion that people get unhealthy trying to get fit. 80% of the runners will stop running within a year due to injury

What is the FMS?

Functional Movement Screen, or FMS, is a way to identify faulty movement patterns, the custom made program which come along with it will be allowing you to move better for whatever activity you want to be part of and ultimately continuing moving well by connecting with your body.

My intend here is to bring awareness to people who want to get in shape and don't really know where to start, also for people that might have developed dysfunction throughout their life and still decide to go into strenuous activity.

Within the 7 movement patterns in the picture below we are able to identify your weak link, correct it, and send you back to your activity that you love injury free but most importantly reducing the risk of re-injury to almost 0%!!!
