Koksi beetles can mate with other koksi beetles with different color patterns. Before laying eggs, the female cocsi beetle will choose a place inhabited by many food insects so that once they hatch, their larvae are surrounded by abundant food supplies. The eggs are oval in yellow to orange and are usually placed at the bottom of the leaf. The eggs will hatch into larvae after 3-7 days depending on the weather. The larvae are long, hairy & have 6 feet. The larvae of each type of koksi beetle are of different colors, but are similar to adults. Speckled black beetle
