Let me start with elementary school's education on waste. There are two kind of wastes , ones which are biodegradable and another which are non- biodegradable.
The waste which aren't biodegradable are recycled.
Now, talking about millions of billions of plastic waste which goes to dump instead of being recycled. which now is occupying major part of oceans and are a devastation to every living being. Just getting rid of plastic straws is a small but initial step, we seriously need to do something about it.
while scrolling through, I found a really interesting video on youtube about a man who has developed a formula of creating roads with indulgence of plastic in its ingredient as recycled process.
Here's the entire video of around 3-4 minutes, explaining a unique and creative idiea which is cost effective and makes the roads last longer.

Can plastic roads save planet?
I guess not entirely but can contribute as a major part in making earth waste free!
From today onwards I make a pledge to completely minimise the use of plastic in my day to day life and try to recycle and reuse the non biodegradable waste. by starting with the basic, like using less paper, carrying my own glass bottle for water, no straws for sure, carrying my own cloth bag for groceries. and let me know what else basic thing I can include in my daily life to show care for my planet earth.
