The floods and surf came right up into the homes and apartments on the peninsula in Long Beach

After a good rain last night it was clean and bright. A pretty brisk wind was blowing but not cold, not hot. Fresh air!

The south swells are still coming. It's raining tonight and it's really rain. not just a few sprinkles.

Non stop drama on the coast here now. It's not going to stop any time soon.

Finally fall arrived with crisp clean air and big white clouds October 22nd

The channel area is being dredged. They are moving the sand to try to fill in the sand the has been washed away from the beach. The idea is to prevent any more flooding and destruction of homes

The big dredge is pumping sand now and will fill in the beach... I'm already losing the energy to explain. So the photos are all I got for now.

This has been an "exciting" month. A long heat wave, Santa Ana wind, rain and now some rain again. I'm grateful for some rain and nice temperature.

Yesterday's post was looking east. Today I'm facing west and you can see some of downtown Long Beach in the background. It wasn't too hot but the bright sun is just not enjoyable anymore for me. I'm hoping

Finally I'm able to hold up my camera and today I stuck it out and got some shots I have been dreaming of. The weird part is even though these are really exciting for me they won't interest anyone else.

I did get a few pretty good ones. There were a couple of fires going on in so cal too. They always seem to happen now with every Santa Ana. Coastal flooding and erosion going on as well.
