Commonwealth games is a Multinational Event in will different member countries participate. It currently has 71 member countries and territories. In this way it is supported by 1/3rd of world population.
Next edition of Commonwealth Games will happen at Birmingham in 2022.
India this year in 2019 hosted 2019 edition of Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship
India in this event won a total of 13 medals that comprised of 8 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze.
Mirabai Chanu won Gold in 49 kg event Qualifying Round and lifted a total of 191 Kg.
Jhilli Dalabehra won Gold in 45Kg event which is not an Olympic weight Category.
Soroikhaibam Bindyarani Devi won the gold in Seniors women 55 kg category.
Rishikanta Singh won the gold in 55 kg Senior Men category by lifting 235 kg.
