Those Warans are pretty big and I did not feel the need to get any close to him.
Koh Maphran is near Phuket and has quite some wildlife. Most of the time they are hiding in the bushes and dont come out and I am fine with that as they also have snakes and those devils are the worst animals ever.
A few kitties don`t come back after going on an adventure in the jungle because of them.
