Tokyo sketches (3) – Tried some food and stuff 東京隨筆(三) – 在東京的飲食點滴
Other than the scenic side of Tokyo, the gourmet side is equally fascinating and filled with variety as well as surprises. The food that I tried throughout my several trips to Tokyo may not be among the best or the most luxurious that the city could offer, but still they leave me with some lovely aftertastes.
在東京，除了充滿景觀的一面外，品嚐當地食物也可以是一種獨特的體驗。縱使我在東京的旅程中並沒有豪放地花費在飲食上，但也留下了讓我回味無窮的回憶。
Going to the well-acclaimed Tsukiji market early in the morning for a copious breakfast. Restaurants here usually have short opening hours. There are a few particularly crowded sushi restaurants but I decided to randomly try out one of the rest. Else I am gonna wait for at least another few hour hours to overcome that long queue.
一大清早便來到了享負盛名的築地市場尋找一頓期待已久的壽司早餐，這裡的店舖每天的營業時間都不長，其中數間較為有名的餐廳店外排隊的人已經十分多，估計沒多呆數小時都不怎可能進的到去，於是我決定隨意選一間另外的店。
Ordered two sets for the three of us going there. Never short of a delicacy and seeing the sushi chefs work magic, it’s simply unforgettable witnessing their precision and dedication. Chatted for a while with a friendly staff there.
三人同行點了兩個套餐，壽司師傅們精妙的刀法、純熟的技術和壽司本身都同樣讓我驚歎。店裡的員工們都頗友善，我也稍稍和他們聊了一會。
I also went for a steak meal at SATOU in Kichijoji for my first time going to a steak house in Japan. A little bit too expensive for the quality to be honest but still worthy of giving it a try.
和朋友在吉祥寺的SATOU扒房吃牛扒，雖然一點也不便宜，但還可算值得一試。
Places of origin of the beef used are listed on a sheet right next to the entrance.
餐廳門口的附近列出了當天使用的牛肉來源產地。
A lunch at Izuei 伊豆栄 in Ueno after visiting Ueno Zoo and University of Tokyo. A quality “Unadon” (grilled eel over rice) but again, not really at a cheap price.
到過上野動物園和東京大學後到了附近的「伊豆栄」品嚐鰻魚飯。
It was after a very exhausting day of long distance travel and returning to downtown Tokyo, this is the dinner I mentioned in my first story. Located right inside the Tokyo Station and not far away from my accommodation, it surely gave me a convenient choice of dinner at a reasonable price for a nicely served bowl of ramen.
某天的長距離旅程十分累人，回到東京市中心後只想找一間位置方便的餐廳吃晚飯。於是便找到了距離住處不遠的東京站內的「斑鳩」拉麵，價格十分相宜，不過人流不少，倒也等候了一會。

And of course I did try out Yoshinoya in Japan to see the differences from that back in hometown. Well without doubt it’s Japan’s hands down victory.
當然也不忘試試看日本的吉野家和平常吃的有甚麼不同，結論當然是日本吉野家的壓倒性勝利。
