Switching Worlds | The last 36 hours In Atlantic City And Philadelphia

The last 36 hours In Atlantic City And Philadelphia.jpg

It was about 36 hours or so before we had a long train ride home. After the crazy night that was had the following day was more of a relax and go play on some slots that we might not find elsewhere or just really love playing.

Golden Nugget

The first order of business was checking to see if the pool area was open. Since I would not be bringing my phone into that area I just snapped a photo of the open sign.

There were some hot tubes that we wanted to enjoy soaking and would later spend an hour or so in the H2o lounge. It’s rather nice they have some time limits set out keeping the place mostly kid free in the afternoon.

We went down for a little bit and played some slots. Since I had yet to hit up the pirate dollar storm I thought why not. I ended up getting a $16 bonus. However, since it was not a double I kept playing and walked away with nothing.

That ended up being the theme of this early afternoon gambling session. After a couple more slots like that, I was just not feeling it. The great thing about staying in a hotel room is you can just go back up there for a bit and relax.

There were some wild views in the lobby to take a look at. Lots of fancy homes on a narrow island and quite a few boats out in the water. While there is a giant marina that was not one place we ended up going to check out.

That ended up being the perfect time to head down to the pool area. I’m just glad it was open. It was closed the last time and it was unsure if they were working on something or if that was just due to the bad weather.

Throughout the day I ended up just snacking on anything that was left in the hotel refrigerator. We had some Philly cheesesteaks that got finished off quite quickly.

However, by the time dinner rolled around, I was quite hungry and felt like having breakfast. I was a bit behind on meals at this point. Gambling at 4 AM tends to toss around your schedule like that anyways. So it just made sense to have breakfast for dinner.

I ended up ordering the same omelet that I had before. It was just an easy choice and I knew ahead of time I’d like it. It was decent but way over-salted. I still wolfed it down like it was free. Thankfully it almost was with the comps piled up from gambling.

Then it was time to hit the casino floor. Again nothing was paying. I had a little luck on Rakin Bacon one more time. I decided to make a judgment call it to call it for this casino for now.

I knew in the morning we are hitting up one more casino that we had yet been to. So I went up and tried to get a decent night's sleep. If you read about the people on our floor. You don’t need to guess how that went. Not so well.

The next morning we got up bright and early. I went out to the lobby on our floor and enjoyed an amazing sunrise over the water. It was then time to make sure we had everything packed up and go for a bit of a trip to the next casino.

Live Casino In Philadelphia

Craken.jpg

Live was the first casino I was expecting for us to hit up before we went on other things. We however ended up going on that amazing exploration of Philadelphia instead. It was now time to see what this casino had to offer.

We went off to register as new players and find out what kind of sign-up bonus they were offering. I believe it was $15 and since we got referred by a friend there were some extras tossed in as well.

One slot I have not played a lot yet for this trip that I enjoy is the Kraken. I ended up playing the Wild Vikings version. I ended up getting a single bonus but nothing amazing.

I ended up sitting down and losing at a couple of slots. Then I gave playing Fu Dai Lian one more go for this trip. I ended up getting a nice almost $70 win.

After that, I added in my head how I was doing and realize I was breaking even for this casino. I had already used the free play. It would be time to head out soon once the person.

So I hopped on Pokémon Go which I have been doing randomly throughout this entire trip. I caught a couple of things and noticed from all the walking around I had done I had some further eggs to hatch.

Final Thoughts

While not as much gambling as you might expect in the final hours of being in Atlantic City and Philadelphia. I got rather to a point where I was happy with the way things went. I had an amazing time and was only down like $200 after all the gambling and other things we had done which was amazing.

There were some other parts of this trip early on that were more about relaxing and not being at casinos. Those parts were however not something I’ve included. As those were purely relaxation days.

Next up we got into the car and went off towards the train station. The next post in this series will cover the return trip home. While it is only a single post about that it was a long train ride.

Up till now on this trip, I had walked over 35 miles. The biggest day ended up being over 10 miles. While I was not so looking forward to the train ride. I was looking forward to just sitting and doing nothing really but looking out a window during the daytime.

While that might not be a lot of walking for some in how long this trip lasted. Most days I don’t even break half a mile moved. Despite that, my legs were feeling great. It is crazy how much walking one can do in a casino let alone exploring around a city.
