It was time for some late-night gambling before we would go off and switch back to staying at the Golden Nugget. I had a bit of a bone to pick with the casino since I had gone on quite a few losing sessions. I was hopeful this late-night action would be a good winning one.
Since we only had a few hours left at the Hard Rock and we were decently rested. It was time for one of our famous gambling from 2 AM till about 6 AM. Some of you would call that morning. We call that late-night gambling! I had been on a bit of a losing streak and it was time to try and claw some of it back.
Since I’m not permitted in the exclusive High Limit room at Hard Rock in Atlantic City. I went over to the room with a bunch of dragon links in it. This would not end up being the normal high-limit setup I was used to.
Normally at the 10-cent denomination in the high limit, the first bet is $5. Since that was not the case I bumped it up to $1. The issue with the $1 denomination is you get fewer paying lines. However, I was not playing for line hits I wanted something big.
That minor was screaming to be hit look how much higher it was over the major.
I was down over half my balance betting bigger than normal before I decided to switch it up. I went down to the 10-cent denomination and was just betting $2.50 a spin now. Naturally, rather quickly I ended up hitting a bonus.
I ended up getting the free spins bonus. The first couple of spins were not that great. Then I hit a retrigger upping my free games from 6 to 12.
I then hit the bonus in the bonus. It was sadly only a $52 win but that was more than I had already won so far in the free spin bonus.
The rest of my free spins were quite tame. I only got a couple more bucks. In the end, I had a $111 bonus. Not the bonus I was looking for. At least I hit something. Shame that was not on the $5 bets!
I spun it down till I was at $150 and cashed out a couple of bucks up. At that point, I was done with the higher bet spins at this casino. When you can walk away from doing that when you normally play as a lower roller up that is great.
I played some other slots before I found myself on Rich Little Piggies. Now the thing with these is they don’t normally have huge wins. They can however be quite active in you triggering the bonus. I ended up getting the red pig when it was only at 15 wild spins. While that was not great at least it was a bonus.
The biggest issue with this kind of game is it’s an advantage player slot. Some people will check these things every five minutes looking for the “ideal” situation to sit down and try getting the bonus to trigger. As such they were already quite picked over. I however did not let that stop me from having a good time and getting some bonus.
The first bonus was a laughable $3.22 win. That is kind of expected when you are already at the base amount of wilds for the red pig. I however kept on playing after that bonus.
Quite a few spins later I triggered the gold jackpot pig with the red wild pig. Now when you are playing in the normal game when you land the golden coin if it does not pop the pig it has a chance to bonus up and increase the mini, minor, maxi, and so on.
While the gold jackpot pig was a little fatter than the rest. The amounts I could win were not going to be that great. I know at least from playing this before you can sometimes get the mini and minor progressives and so forth a few times in the bonus.
What you want to happen in this bonus is to get lots of doors. You then want the doors to open up and have coins behind them. Once you get enough of a certain color coin you get that progressive. The progressives also don’t reset while in the bonus. However, once the game is over they will for the smaller ones.
I ended up getting the minor, mini, and maxi in that order. In total, I only won $22.22 from that bonus. That was however at least my second bonus in not that many spins. While the wins are not great you tend to bonus a lot.
I was however not done with this game by any long shot. A couple of spins later I got the golden jackpot pig again. This time however since he was so small the progressives were almost at their base level. I did not win much on that.
A couple of spins later I landed the blue extra free games and red with lots of wilds. My biggest spin in that bonus was this $ 13-line hit. Again nothing amazing it ended up being just a $22 bonus. I was expecting a bit more with 60 wilds.
I ended up playing Rich Little Piggies for well over an hour. I’d get a couple more bonuses. They were however even worse. In the end, I walked away slightly up. Many times it’s just nice to sit there and play on a single machine for quite a while.
I then went and sat down at Gold Stacks. Some unknown person by then had gotten the minor. The minor was always on its way up again. While I had already gotten quite a few wins out of this slot I thought why not keep going and I sure did.
I ended up getting the pick bonus for the mini. A few spins later I landed the free spins bonus. This ended up being yet another slot I ended up walking away up.
I then went to go play one of the dancing drum Prosperity slot. This is where I found out that for the first time, you could get a bonus pick while in the pick bonus. Most times whenever I played any of these I never get the pick bonus. I ended up getting the mini and the minor.
Final Thoughts
A few more slots and some further winning later. It was time to get a quick nap before checkout. It was then time to head off toward the Golden Nugget. While I did not get the big late-night comeback I was hoping for at the Hard Rock. I at least had some fun.
We had some plans to do a bunch of other stuff first before heading over to the Golden Nugget. It however ended up being a rainy kind of day. A bit of a shame as I was hoping to go to the zoo. That would not happen on this trip.
