Diary #5: Nusa Penida

I know..my last post is too long ago. But I will promise you to show you now something really amazing and fascinating - in my opinion!

During my stay on Bali, I did some trips to other indonesian islands - of course. What I recommend to you is Nusa Penida.

It is the largest of three islands off the south eastern coast of Bali, the others being Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan (where I could not be - unfortunately). The tourist infrastructure is very limited here but growing fast, so you have to get there in time!

Here you can see me in front of the Broken Beach. Huug Beach or Broken Beach is an incomparable beach in the western of Nusa Penida Island with its wonderful sea and cliffs wall view. The name of “(H)uug” comes from local language means “broken”. It’s proven by the condition of the beach in which the beach is formed by disaster a long ago. It is actually not like a beach in general, but more than high cliffs that collapsed down and form such a great caldera with its seawater.

The next attraction I want to show you is Angel's Billabong. It is a natural infinity pool which is about 220 meters away from the Broken Beach.
Angel's Billabong is the most fascinating thing I have ever seen in my life. It is so beautiful with its colors and the water is clear as a mirror. I didn't want to leave :D

You can enter the infinity pool at low tide, but for safety reasons please do not enter at high tide when waves are crashing over the edge like in the following picture

Maybe someone of you has already been there?
