UYC day 3: August 22 2019

Today was a balanced mix of fun and stress... That's right, a lot of stress.

Today started with me handling chess classes. The classes were a follow up from the last class where I explained the moves of each piece to the campers.

After which they played various games among themselves. In order to enable them play multiple games within the allotted time, I opted for the following rules.

Each game was to last a maximum of 5 minutes and each move lasting just 10 seconds. It turned out to be a very enjoyable time as the campers remarked that they enjoyed it as they were able to play multiple opponents.

After the chess activities, I went on to play volleyball which further exhausted me and led to an injured toe.

After volleyball, we went on to fetch firewood for the bonfire which was to hold this evening.

Since we were on the beach, we made do with mostly coconut tree leaves as fuel. I'm determined to post this report today else I would have gone to bed very quickly. I post this with heavy eyes.

Till next time, your friend.
