One of my distant things about Penang is the abundance of fresh cane juice. The tradition is clearly embedded in the local population, we have 3 tribunes to choose from around our homestay and the stand stands busy coming dusk. We've also mastered the art of grabbing freshly made juice before they add sugar to it and sometimes they add 10 cups of liquid sugar now it does not matter because everyone already knows we do not want ice without sugar.
