Hello my Dears
Happy to be back with you and share with you a little piece of my life.
We are in "Holy Week" and in my country they take a few days off, for those who are Catholic these days are a spiritual retreat, for those who are not, days for recreation and to enjoy a break.
We do both, so we decided to give ourselves Saturday afternoon to visit some relatives and then make an outing for two, since we had been working hard for a few days and decided to go out for a while to de-stress.
This Saturday April 16th we went out in our cart, which is now part of our outings and really helps us a lot to get around the city, we feel that now we have more options of places to go.
On the road we can see special places, like the one you see in my cover photo, it is called "The flower of Venezuela" and is an architecture that was presented at the Hannover fair in 2000 and inside is like a small museum.
We decided then to go to the Sambil Mall to have some lunch, walk around, see some stores and clear our minds for a while, our first experience parking in a mall, I won't deny that we were a bit nervous to leave the car there alone, but hey, there is always a first time.
We entered and received our first parking ticket, we decided to keep it as a souvenir, many times when we projected our car we talked about this moment, when we arrived on foot, many times we left: "When we arrive in our car we will have to pay the parking", projecting these moments helped us a lot to focus to achieve our goal.
So we arrived at what is the "Feria", is the central place where all the food stores are, there we decided to order chicken, so we ordered in a place called "Pollo Graduado", we ordered a family combo, because we would also take that food to my dad who had stayed at home. The cost as you can see in the picture was $13.
The food looked very delicious, it had salad, chicken, green sauces for the chicken and french fries which are my favorite, also fried arepitas and we ordered a "Colita" flavored soda, typical of Vzla. So, we got ready to enjoy it.
Between chats we began to enjoy our lunch and our date, it is very important to give yourself these spaces as a couple because many times the routine is taking over and one looking to save often spend a lot of time without giving quality moments in places other than home. As you can see, I was enjoying my chips, they are one of my favorite foods, I don't think anyone can resist to French fries.
Then to close we decided to eat a barquilla between the two of us at a new ice cream shop in the mall called LA BANANA.
We ordered a chocolate cone and enjoyed it between the two of us, as we were satisfied with lunch we felt that one for the two of us was fine, the wafer was delicious.
We continued walking around the mall, seeing stores and chatting, among the places that the mall has is a small wooden walkway and on the sides they have some little lakes where there are these beautiful KOI fish.
The fountain is very beautiful and I like to stay for moments listening to the sound of the water and watching the fish that are a spectacle of beauty.
Finally we decided to go to the movie theater just to check the listings and see the prices, since we have plans to invite my kids to see two movies soon, one the new installment of Harry Potter's Fantastic Beasts and also the last one of Dr. Strange.
There we were able to see the schedules and costs so we could get organized and make our next movie outing.
As we were leaving, my husband paid the parking ticket, and I was very happy, feeling how real it is to project our dreams and see them come true.
On the way back we went around the city and passed by different squares, this one the Plaza del ciclista, an activity that has taken off in the city, especially after all the changes brought by the pandemic.
To close with a flourish our Saturday we watched a great movie about the father of the great tennis players Venus and Serena Williams, Richard Williams, which is needless to say that it is a great movie and we liked it a lot.
And so was our Saturday, we will surely spend Sunday at home, maybe writing this post for you, or watching another movie, resting the cart and organizing for everything that needs to be done during the week.
It was a pleasure to share with you a little bit of my weekend.
THANK YOU FOR DEDICATING VALUABLE TIME OF YOUR LIFE TO READ ME.
A HUG
WITH LOVE
