I honestly didn’t even know holoZing had launched. That might sound strange considering I have been around the Hive ecosystem for quite a while, but whenever I came across holozing, the main thing I seemed to see was just fan art on the community page. The holoZing page had so much emphasis on the fan art creation side that, in my mind, holozing was still one of those projects that was preparing for its big launch rather than something I could actually sit down and play.

Then I today whilst playing other games on scrobble i just scrolled a little bit down and i stumbled on the holozing games across the Scrobble Games. That was actually how I discovered that there was something playable and that the development had been completed. I was genuinely surprised because I had somehow completely missed the fact that holozing was already available there, but i still think it was added of recent and to be honest, I still don't know how many people actually realise that holoZing has launched on Scrobble.

Maybe I'm not the only one who has missed it, anyways once I realised there were games available, I decided to give them a try. I started with holoZing wilds. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't get into it, although in all fairness i didnt spend too much time trying to figure out how the game was, i mean maybe I didn't spend enough time trying to understand the mechanics, but my first impression was basically, okay... so what exactly am I supposed to be enjoying here? I'd say for my first impression it just didn't grab my attention. I played around with it for a while but eventually decided to check out the other holozing game available.

That was when I tried holozing Swarm and this one was much more my thing. At first, I thought it was going to be ridiculously easy, you basically start out dealing with waves of enemies, and initially it feels like you have everything under control and its just repetitive and easy and you're moving around taking them down without too much trouble. Then the waves started increasing and increasing and suddenly, the game wasn't nearly as easy as I thought it was going to be.

The further I went, the more chaotic things became. What initially felt like a simple game where I could just move around and eliminate everything in my path gradually turned into something more complex and difficult. The enemies became more difficult, the waves became more demanding, and I started realising that I couldn't just casually play anymore and i eventually died. I think holozing swarm is more my style, i dont think i have to spend a lot of time trying to understand the game, its pretty straightforward and i really dont have the time to start trying to understand any complex game and i guess thats why this is more my style.

Of course, I'm still very much a newcomer to holozing. I haven't explored everything the project has to offer, and I certainly wouldn't pretend that I understand all of its mechanics yet. I basically went from thinking HoloZing was still mostly about fan art to suddenly finding myself playing one of its games on Scrobble. Because if I'm discovering it this late or early, i have a feeling I'm probably not the only one.
