Hello dear Hive community, my love and affection is for each one of you, hoping God's blessing will always be with you.>

In these days I had to be a little absent from the platform due to some daily vicissitudes that arise. In the first place, there were problems with the internet access that I was able to solve, thank God. Secondly, and more importantly, my mother was in poor health, which required my presence with her on a more constant basis. She is 91 years old, she is hypertensive and because of her age, we are alarmed by any health problem because we have already spent some anxious moments with her.>

Under normal conditions I visit her every day, either before going to school or after I leave. My brothers are with her, but I am the youngest daughter, the attachment is greater, if I fail one day she claims me, besides she talks to me a lot, she gets distracted, our old people need to be listened to, even if they tell us the same stories and I like her to tell me too. In fact, I always tell him that I hope his mind is hereditary because I want to reach old age with his mental lucidity.>

These days the conversation moved me, I came back home with some tears in my eyes. Yes, I have listened many times to her life story, her needs, the mistreatment she received from my father, her health problems, her pregnancies, her extreme poverty from which she got out of by working hard, washing, ironing, cleaning and then as a merchant, selling ladies and children's clothes. But this time when I listened to her I looked at her little eyes already so tired from her walk through life and I thought about how short it is, how short it is. I thought about how little time I have left to love her and the many things she went through that were certainly not pleasant.>

In the conversation she told me about her journey through San Juan many years ago, El Saco, Yaguaraparo, Rio Cristalino, all the way to Carúpano and the hard times she had to go through. I imagined her going through all those places with my older brothers and sisters, with so few belongings and few possibilities, working hard to get ahead. Then she told me, I know that part very well, I almost know it by heart, when she tells me that God helped her to get her house, her own house, no longer walking from one place to another and her joy at finally having it.>

Mom went through many health problems in several pregnancies, we are 9 children, my older sister died and 2 of my brothers live in another city. But remembering when she was pregnant with me, she told me about an episode she already knew, when she was pregnant with me, she received such a strong blow to her belly that she feared she would lose me. And she added "you would not have been born, my most spoiled daughter" and she hugged me. I thought, how many difficult moments mom went through, how to repay her, if it was enough what we did and how in life it seems that everyone is tested like fire by the vicissitudes of life, some people more than others. Problems and difficulties come at a moment's notice and it takes a lot of fortitude and divine help to face them.>

I myself have some difficult life experiences and having gone through them I consider that it helps me to show more empathy towards others who suffer. I have prayed for people here in hive who have manifested very difficult situations and others who have explicitly requested that we pray for them or a family member. I believe in intercessory prayer, pray for each other, life is short, there is no time for disunity or discord, it is time to love, help, value.>

In the face of problems let us keep faith and hope, let us try to have an attitude of optmism and gratitude. I know it is difficult, especially when there is physical pain, but we must fight to live and enjoy the pleasant moments that come our way and resist with faith the unpleasant ones. I know that there are very hard trials, I ask God to grant you much strength.>

In these days that my son Fabian had his dermatitis outbreaks again, a disease with which we have been fighting for some months now, I got a little discouraged because I don't want to live the same experience of insomnia next to him taking care that he doesn't scratch himself unconsciously during the night, but thanks God the itching has been milder and I bought a new cream trusting in God that he will get better. It is always best to look forward with faith.>

We must never abandon the hope that leads us to think that everything will be all right, that something better will come. Like my mother, sometimes when we remember some adverse situations we say "I don't know how I solved it, how I managed to get out of it, but I did it". Do you know what the darkest hour of the night is? Yes, it is just before it gets light. I learned this a long time ago and I think it's a great lesson. After the thick darkness, the sun always rises. Just as the morning comes, so will come the light that will dispel those hard and dark moments in our lives, the solution we were waiting for will come.>
