(ESP/ENG) El llanto del bebé. ( Dejarlo llorar o no dejarlo llorar?)
Hijos unidos a tu corazón ❤️.

Hello beautiful community of dedicated mothers and fathers, may God bless you abundantly and especially your offspring, your beloved children.
I have 3 children, before the birth of my first son Fabian I read a lot about motherhood and parenting, I wanted to prepare myself well, to be a good mother, but many things do not appear in books, right? so in those things I let myself be guided by the maternal instinct. I also listened to the advice of experienced mothers, but I realized that sometimes the advice was not accurate or differed from what I believed, so I preferred to do it according to my intuition as a mother. One such piece of advice I disregarded was in relation to the baby's crying.
My son Fabian was noisy when he cried, his crying was loud. At mom's house not only I ran to attend to him, so did my mom and my sisters. But when I was with my husband's family I was often in uncomfortable situations because of what they told me, "let him cry" "don't carry him if he cries, you are spoiling him" "if he has already eaten he doesn't have to cry, they calm down by themselves" "if you carry him all the time he will get used to it" and many other phrases.
My motherly heart told me that this was not the right thing to do, so I immediately took care of him, "I'm going to see what he has", I would say. I remember one day my husband told me to go near the house to buy something, the baby was asleep, they told me to go, they would be watching, it was close by. When I arrived the baby was red from crying, no one held him, they were waiting for him to go back to sleep on his own. I felt very sad for the moment the baby went through and angry with myself for leaving even when my heart was telling me to stay. Although they were all good people, their parenting was different from mine, there was more detachment with the children and the belief that children manipulate by crying.
The opposite was the case at my mother's house, where the baby could not even half complain when my sisters were already running to pick him up before he cried. They would attend to him as if he were me, check on him, distract him with a thousand things or else put him back to sleep in their arms or in the rocking chair.
A baby's crying may seem uncomfortable or annoying to some, but it is the baby's way of communicating. Can you imagine being small and not being able to talk or write and being sleepy, hungry, hot, cold, feeling sick in your body or lonely and not knowing how to express it? I start crying too.
The baby's crying is the way the child can express himself, it does not mean that he is manipulating us, but that he has a need, this can be physical, but also emotional, he can simply need to feel protected, in company, safe. He was before in mom's tummy, warm, as one, he may just need our closeness and that does not mean that he is manipulating us. They are babies, too small to reason that, their instincts are the ones that prevail in their first stages.
Our treatment should be gentle, serene, not desperate, uneasy, nervous, but convey peace, security, love. Check if something is bothering him, if he is hot, cold, check his diaper, if he needs to be changed, caress him, breastfeed him again, the breast is not only to feed him, it transmits other benefits of mother-child connection.
The baby stage passes quickly, when we realize they are already walking, talking and other stages are coming because the development of language opens up other possibilities.
Let's enjoy each stage, one day we will remember those baby moments and we will want to hear their cry again and cuddle them in our arms, feel their characteristic smell and look at their tiny hands while they hold our fingers, but it will not be possible because they have grown up,
however, we will have the satisfaction of having enjoyed them, having raised them with attachment and reaping the fruits of this. Children attached to your heart ❤️.
God bless you immensely, thank you for this beautiful community where we share our experiences as mothers, thank you for reading me, greetings.
