A Quick 4-Round Victory! My Aurendark Lineup Took the Win in a Low Mana Frontier Battle in Splinterlands
Hello people of Splinterlands! It's 
I started the match then I got matched up against a player and the battle had offered 24 mana cap only. Gladly, the ruleset was simple. Sometimes these low-mana battles can be surprisingly tricky because every monster you pick can be important. So, I gotta pick something that lasts longer than my opponent.

Mana Cap: 24
Ruleset: Standard
Modifier: None
Available: Fire, Water, Life and Dragon
The 24 mana was definitely the biggest thing I had to think about before creating my team.
Choosing My Team
I tought to use my Dragon summoner Aurendark like I said before, I already had him in my mind. I have been enjoying using Aurendark in the battles. With 24 mana I wanted to keep my team simple.
My Team
Summoner: Aurendark
Position 1: Frankarsgard
Position 2: Great Bear Druid
That's my lineup for this battle. 😂
I know it looks small compared like only two monsters I'll be using. Well, usually we see that in Splinterlands, but with only 24 mana I thought let's not count on the number of cards, instead paid attention to the abilities.
Okay so, Frankarsgard was my first-position monster because I wanted it to be the main frontline of my team. And I would let the other monster behind it to protectect the backline.
Behind Frankarsgard I placed Great Bear Druid. I wanted it to stay behind my frontline instead of taking the first attacks immediately.
The idea was pretty simple. Frankarsgard would deal with the frontline pressure while Great Bear Druid stayed behind and continued contributing to the battle.
Battle Highlights
My opponent was DESAMIX who had a rating of 940 and was playing under the DRUNKEN DWARFS guild. At least he is in a guild but I can't seem to be find one, hehe.
Nevermind, I did not dare to underestimate my opponent just because the mana cap was low. Low-mana battles are always unpredictable than high-mana battles. My team was also very small, so I was actually curious to see how long Frankarsgard would be able to hold the frontline.
The battle started and both teams moved into position.
At the beginning I was mainly watching Frankarsgard. With only two monsters on my side I couldn't afford to lose my frontline to early.
Thankfully, Frankarsgard was able to stay in the fight while Great Bear Druid remained behind it.
One thing I liked about this battle was that it didn't take forever.
When I play high mana battles that it can continue for many rounds and it's fun to watch. But if I don't have much time I would skip the battle.
But this battle was only for 4 rounds which is pretty short compared to some of the longer battles I have played recently. But even though it was short, I still found myself watching because with such a small lineup, every round mattered.
As the rounds continued, my team was able to keep itself together.
Frankarsgard continued to hold the frontline while Great Bear Druid stayed behind and supported the team from the second position.
By the time we reached the final round, my team was still standing.
And then came the part I always like seeing.
The battle was over after just 4 rounds and my Aurendark lineup had managed to take the win.

Winning the battle gave me:

+20 Rating
Silver III Progress
Final Rating: 1060
After the victory my rating was up to 1060.
Getting another +20 Rating is always satisfying especially when I am trying to slowly climb higher through the ranks.
My energy was also at 52 after the battle and I still had my daily reward progress going.
At the moment I was at 0/3 for the daily rewards and had 4 Wins to Next Daily Reward!
So even though this was only one battle, it still counted towards my progress. I always like seeing the little numbers slowly moving forward because eventually they add up.

Final Thoughts
Okay so this battle once again reminded me that having a low mana cap doesn't automatically mean you need a complicated strategy.
I was also happy to see that my rating increased another 20 points and my rating is now up to 1060 in Silver III.
Sometimes I think we focus too much on creating the biggest possible lineup, when low-mana battles are really about making every mana count.
For this battle, keeping things simple worked for me.
