Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze.
Country road, take me home
To the place I belong...
That is what I play in my head today, because ... yes, I drive to the place I were born and lived the most of my life, where I left a part of my soul. The difference is it is West Ukraine, and mountains are Carpathians.
No wonder that my daughter love it so much. She can choose, and she chose her hometown. A small cozy town in a valley surrounded with mountains and fast rivers. And I chose to miss it and look forward to drive there right on the next day after my return.
Today I will see it late in night lights, tired after a long drive on highway and country roads. My mom is traveling somewhere in Europe, hope towards home ... her phone is off and no one have heard from her for a whole week since she departed, I hope she is safe and sound.
Tomorrow there is a state day off on the occasion of Constitution Day in Ukraine. I will have 3 full days to meet my friends and appreciate every moment spent with my loved ones.
My daughter graduated from the local University, and this is a very long awaited event, so we are going to celebrate it.
I am going to meet my childhood friend. She has a bad kind of disease, all the more this is the time when she needs to fell care and support of her friends. I pray for her and hope she'll pull through.
This means that I could not stay in touch with you as much as I'd like. But I always look forward to hear from you.
