And what is this watermark thing?

I didn't know either, because what you don't learn in google you learn here in steemit, in the discord chat groups, or in some other post.

To my way of understanding, the watermark, is like the stamp, or signature of every photographer for their photos or every designer for their designs.

Y ¿Que será esto de la marca de agua.? Yo tampoco lo sabía, porque lo que no se aprende en google lo aprendemos aquí en steemit, en los grupos de chat de discord, o en algunos otros post.
A mi forma o manera de entender, la marca de agua, es como el sello, o firma de cada fotógrafo para sus fotos o de cada diseñador para sus diseños.

Example this image: look at the almost transparent letters that is the watermark, of the photographer or of the one who created or designed it. It is an image that is forbidden to use, unless the owner is located and asked for permission to use it.

That's why there are other images that are free to use without any problem, such as those offered by PIXABAY.

Ejemplo esta imagen: observen las letras casi transparentes esa es la marca de agua, del fotografo o de quien creo o diseño la misma. Es una imagen prohibida de usar, a menos que se ubique al dueño, se le pida permiso para su uso.
Por eso hay otras imagenes que son llibres de autor que se pueden utilizar sin problema alguno, como las que nos ofrece PIXABAY.

What is the watermark for?

It is to protect what everyone does to prevent them from being plagiarized or stolen, some are usually very transparent and almost unseen.

Recently I don't know if you remember I was accused of plagiarism, because of some photos of the Moon, something that makes me indignant, if it bothers me a lot, but I demonstrated that they were my own photos, the people in charge of investigating these cases of plagiarism in steemit like @jaguarforce did a forensic investigation, if they said so themselves, demonstrating the authenticity of my photos, something incredible guaooo, but how good they are for that.

¿Para que es la marca de agua?
Es para proteger lo que hace cada quién evitar que sean plagiadas o robadas, unas suelen ser de forma muy transparente que casi no se ven.
Hace poco no sé si recordaran fui acusada de plagio, por unas fotos de la Luna, cosa que me indigno, si me moleste mucho, pero demostré que eran fotos propias, los encargados de investigar estos casos de plagio en steemit como @jaguarforce hicieron una investigación forense, si así mismo dijeron ellos, demostrando la autenticidad de mis fotos, algo guaooo increíble, pero que bueno que están ellos para eso.

So it's recommendable and to avoid plagiarism that in every post we use our own photos, these ones have that watermark. It really gave me FLOJERA! Use it, but in view of the situations, now I will use them.

We can have several, some of names only as in the signatures at the end of each post, or designs with your name and some drawings. I have two of these, but none of them were made by me.

The first one was a gift from a friend, classmate, photographer colleague too, here in my hometown, Ligia Banco, more or less I told her how I wanted it and the result was great.

Entonces es recomendable y para evitar plagios que en cada post que usemos fotos propias, estas que tengan esa marca de agua. En verdad me daba ¡FLOJERA! Usarlo, pero en vista de las situaciones, ahora si las usaré.
Podemos tener varias, unas de nombres solamente como en las firmas al final de cada post, o diseños que lleven tu nombre y algún dibujito. De estos tengo dos, aclaro ninguno los hice yo.
El primero fue un regalo de una amiga, compañera de clases, colega fotógrafa también, aquí en mi ciudad natal, Ligia Banco, más o menos le dije como lo quería y el resultado me encantó.

El segundo el más recién fue otro regalo y muy especial de un amigo de Facebook que también es un colega steemiano @jessfrend que tiene tiempo que no publica aquí, últimamente se dedica a oras cosas más por el Facebook, entre ellas apoyar el emprendimiento de personas, en la creación de diseños para sus negocios, lo hace sin lucro, lo hace de corazón porque le gusta y más si es para ayudar a otros en su crecimiento laboral.

As a little advice for everyone here, if you are going to use your own photos do not forget to bring your watermark or a signature, another important fact, highlight the type of camera or device used for the same, tips I was given and I share them here now, many photographers know, but others perhaps not, or for laziness we do not.

Como un consejito para todos aquí, si van a usar fotos propias no olvidar que lleve su marca de agua o una firma, otro dato importante, resaltar el tipo de cámara o dispositivo usado para la misma, consejos que me dieron y los comparto aquí ahora, muchos fotografos lo saben, pero otros quizás no, o por flojera no lo hacemos.
