My Personal Introduction To The Hive Community And The Crypto World
Hello Hiveans,
It is an absolute pleasure to be connected with incredible, friendly, and accommodating people in this space.
Sitting here in a sweltering and sunshiny environment without a choice, my fingers are already gliding on the keyboard as I set out to write. Hopefully, I'll gain someone's attention.
Introduction: My name is Godwin Daniel, a Nigerian in my early 40s. Though I grew up in Lagos state, I am originally from the Ibibio ethnic group of Akwa Ibom State (The Land of Promise), one of the richest states in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria.

My Academic Qualifications:
I am a secondary school certificate holder. I also have vocational training certificates in the following field:
secretarial and clerical studies: typewriter/repairs/maintenance, computer software management/maintenance, and chef/baker.
In addition to the above, I am pursuing a degree course as a Christian teacher, an occupation I have been practising already for the past 11 years in my local Church.
My Marital Status
I am happily married to a lovely young woman and blessed with two children. My second child (female) came into the world in the first week of this month. This was an extraordinary miracle, I don't want to sound religious in my post, but this is what happened; My firstborn (male child) is 9 years old now. We desired to have more children since he was 2 but seems nature wasn't on our side then.
Surprisingly, last year, when we least expected it. my wife conceived and this month she gave birth to a baby girl after seven (7) years of waiting. This is something to celebrate with brethren, friends and family.
What I do for a living:
Due to my desire and passion for serving others, I decided to venture into a small-scale bread baking business because it is an occupation that brings one closer to the community. How delightful it is to realize that I could impact lives with my talent.
I bake for-profit and also bake at times to feed those in need.
Having people call me all the time to express their satisfaction with the product and service I offer makes me feel accomplished in my mission to put a smile on someone's face.
Besides, I have been an internetpreneur and a Direct Sales Health & Wellness marketer/coach for over 16 years. I am a believer in natural health products, especially the ones backed by science. I had the privilege to successfully promote and coach people on such products in the years.
Other Activities And Hobbies:
In my free time, I learn how to play musical instruments, learn new Christian songs, read books, train my brain to write, and research life's topics. At weekend, I and my family very often get involved in humanitarian causes such as visiting prisoners and sick people in the hospital to encourage, pray and support them materially in our little way. As an ordained preacher and teacher of the Word Of God, preaching the gospel and evangelizing are part of my hobbies.
Languages That I speak:
I speak English, Ibibio, Yoruba, French and Bambara.
Current Location:
I Have been living in Bamako, the capital city of the Republic of Mali with my family for over a decade. This is where I learnt French and Bambara languages. Mali, formerly one of the wealthiest empires in Africa and home to the richest man on earth to date, (# maybe Elon Musk will break the record and takeover soon) is a landlocked country in Western Africa. Mali is a former French colony surrounded by 7 other sovereign West African nations. The country's official language is Bambara (Bamana) or Bamanankan The Bamana are the most dominant, influential, and largest ethnic group in Mali.

How I Got Know About Hive And Why Am I Here?
To be honest, this is not my first time being on a social network platform powered by a blockchain that utilizes a proof of brain algorithm. I dived into the crypto world in 2016. In The same year, a friend from another crypto project introduced me to steemit. A few weeks later I relocated to a new environment that was not covered by my internet service provider. Accessing the internet via data connection on smartphones wasn't the best option at that time. The most reasonable thing I could do was to put steemit and most of my online activities on hold while I search for a solution.
Nevertheless, things became normal afterwards but Steemit was forked to create Hive as an alternative. This was a bit of confusion for me so I decided to wait. While researching, it became apparent to me that the Hive Blockchain is the most decentralized of the two. It is impressive and commendable that Hive has developed a way to make the Proof of Brain (POB) concept more worthwhile. We are offered a clear and transparent opportunity to earn cryptocurrency without monetary or investment risk.
I would be so ungrateful not to mention Esteem, 
My takeaways about Ecency's involvement in this ecosystem are as follows:
- They provide a free, simpler, and layman"s process of onboarding new users to the Hive blockchain.
- They bring users closer to one another for a more collaborative approach that adds value to the Hive ecosystem.
- Through the incentive offered to users of Ecency Dapp, the team has inscribed their name in the list of entities that push for faster worldwide crypto adoption.
I congratulate them for this wonderful initiative and for providing a robust project that helps people connect to the crypto world seamlessly.
