So....this is something quite a bit different for me. With much contemplation and nerves I have decided to share an interview I did on my experience as a vegan and my choice to resign from the lifestyle.

I hope this does not come off as too controversial - I respect everyone’s choice to eat and live as they please; and I especially respect everyone’s right to speak out on their personal decisions and opinions.

This interview is really something I wouldn’t normally do but I thought it would be therapeutic to talk about my personal struggles as a vegan and hope that those who could relate to my story may find some encouragement. I share personal details about my past struggles and I hope that my vulnerability is something that leads to good. Personally, the interview allowed me to close a chapter on my life that I felt was defined by depression - being able to talk about my past struggles gave me the chance to reflect and appreciate how far I have come on my health journey. Sometimes we allow the past to define us; old stories that we think are us...self-awareness and reflection is the and only power the individual has in overcoming these engrained narratives. The interview for me was a part of this self-reflective process.

I hope that in life I continue to humble myself and not fear change nor be trepodateous of the potentiality of redefining my world view...isn’t this what it means to be a conscientious and brave human? My decision to change my diet does not mean my respect and care for the earth has changed...I buy only locally, only organic, and only grass-fed, and only holistic.

Have you ever made a huge/profound lifestyle change? What was the decision and what led you to make such a change?

Gatis of the S3vrige youtube channel conducted the interview. Though there are quite a few things on his channel I disagree with, I am very grateful for the opportunity and platform to share in a life change that has been unparalleled in terms of its healing. Go check him out...maybe, like me, there will be some things you agree with and some things you don’t :-) that’s life, eh?

Whatever you do, whoever you are, I wish you a joyous bounty of health and love, regardless of your path and pursuits. It takes all strokes, and though I found a lot of flaws in veganism and the affiliated community I am supportive of anyone who is living their best life through veganism <3
