Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - The Great Unit Review Wheel! post!
However, on the 26th one, I have decided that it is big enough to call this series a Library!
What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!
In this series, I will review one unit at a time, picking them randomly.
So let me spin the wheel again and see what I get:
Right! Back to the sadistic denizens of Cammorah! The Dark Eldar, or as they are now called: The Drukhari
The Raider is the Dedicated troop transport of the Drukhari. Like many of their units, these things trade endurance for speed. It is literally a flying cardboard box with knives stuck to it!
Movement 14"
Toughness 8
Save 4+/6++
Wounds 10
Leadership 6+
OC 2
The Raider and choose between a Dark Lance and the Disintrigator, but everyone always chooses the Dark Lance!
Disintrigator:
36" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S5, AP-2, Damage 2 (so it can take down Space Marines pretty easy.
The Raider has Firing Deck 11 and with a lot of Anti-infantry weapons on the squad it transports, you have better anti-infantry form the unit riding in the vehicle.
Dark Lance - The much needed anti-tank:
36" Range, 1 Shot, Hits on 3+, S12, Ap-3, Damage D6+2
Good range, you have to consider the 14" move as well. So a 40" Threat. Single High Strength, High Armor Penetration, Massive Damage. Good for surgically destroying high value targets.
This transport can Deep Strike down on to the board!
Its rule is Aethersails which allows it to get an auto 6" on the Advance, so a total of 20" movement that turn!
All in all 80pts seems a bit much for the Statline but then you look at Speed and Damage.
So a real glass cannon unit!
Thank you for reading!
Thank you for reading!
